The Springs Living Starts Work on Washington Community

The Springs Living has broken ground on a new senior living community in Vancouver, Washington.

The waterfront senior living community’s groundbreaking was years in the making for The Springs Living CEO Fee Stubblefield, and one that the company plans to represent the future of the senior living service model.

Pacific Northwest senior living operator The Springs Living recently saw construction begin at The Springs at The Waterfront, a 12-story senior living development that will serve approximately 250 residents. The property is located in the Portland, Oregon metro area and offers a mix of floor plans.

“This project is the progression and evolution of what we’ve been doing for the last 26 years,” Stubblefield told Senior Housing News. “The property was the right configuration, the right size and the right location.”

The Springs at The Waterfront will provide independent living, assisted living and memory care options for residents, featuring a spa and wellness center, an indoor pool, and multiple dining venues

Stubblefield said the project was tabled for a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the development planning effort picking back up last year.

The project is a joint venture with San Diego, California-based PMB Pacific Medical Buildings and financed through Harrison Street, marking the first time The Springs Living has entered in on a joint venture, Stubblefield noted.
