Brightview Senior Living is Fortune’s Best Place to Work in Aging Services for the second year in a row.
More than 217,000 workers weighed in through a survey conducted by Activated Insights in partnership with Great Place To Work and Fortune. Continuing Life and The Palace Group were recognized as the second- and third-rated large companies respectively.
“Being named the #1 Best Workplace in Aging Services is an incredible honor, especially because this recognition reflects the experiences of our own associates,” Brightview President and CEO Doug Dollenberg told Senior Housing News. “To be recognized for the second consecutive year #1, and for the sixth time in eight years, speaks to the strength and consistency of the culture our team has built together.”
Dollenberg said a key factor in winning the top accolade for the second year in a row was how the company’s leaders listen to staff and make them feel seen.
In April, Brightview had 44 among over 1,600 senior living communities to receive a “best senior living” designation from the 2026 Best of Senior Living Ratings summary by U.S. News and World Report.
The designation will be used in recruiting efforts for bringing on new staff, according to Dollenberg.
“It’s a powerful endorsement of our culture because it comes from those who experience it every day. We want talented people to see Brightview as a place where they can build a meaningful career and make a real difference in people’s lives,” he said.
A total of 80 large, medium and small senior living operators and at-home care providers received recognition as a “best place to work” in 2026.
While Brightview has received the recognition, there is still room for improvement.
“That starts with listening to our associates to understand what’s working and where we can improve, and continuing to invest in their growth, development and wellbeing,” Dollenberg said. “Some of our best ideas come directly from our associates and empowering them to help shape our future is a big part of what makes Brightview special.”
Brightview is the no. 21 largest operator in senior living, according to the 2026 Argentum 150 list, and has over 6,500 employees.
