LeadingAge president, CEO to step down
LeadingAge has announced President and CEO Katie Smith Sloan will step down, effective March 31, 2027.
The association’s board, led by chair Christie Hinrichs, president and CEO of Frasier, are forming a search committee, with a timeline for Sloan’s replacement forthcoming, according to a press release.
“The committee will undertake a thorough process, honoring Katie’s legacy and positioning the organization for continued success in service to our members and our shared mission,” Hinrichs said in the release. “We thank Katie for her remarkable contributions to LeadingAge and to our field.”
Anthem Memory Care promotes president
Anthem Memory Care has promoted Lewis McCoy to the role of president.
McCoy will “be responsible for maximizing the business [and] serving as the organization’s chief optimization and enterprise excellence leader,” a press release states. His key priorities will include operational efficiency, research and development, process improvement and innovation.
He previously served as Anthem’s chief operating officer, where he “led the development of operating systems and platforms, guided the opening and ongoing operations of new development projects, spearheaded the rollout of management services for acquired communities and helped maintain best-in-class memory care operations amid significant challenges facing the profession,” the release states.
FellowshipLife announces board appointments
Life plan community provider FellowshipLife announced new appointments to its parent board of directors and community boards of advisors, including a new chairman.
Robert Fodera has been appointed the chairman of the board, succeeding Stanley Morin, who retired, effective May 31, 2026. In his role, Fodera will serve on the FellowshipLife board of directors and on the board of advisors for each FellowshipLife community, according to a press release.
In addition, the operator appointed Theresa Edelstein, David Mecugliano and Christine Fares Walley to its board of directors; incoming resident Marcy Steele will serve on the board of advisors at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and Jeffery Hall will serve on the board of advisors at Fellowship Village and Riverwalk Village in Hackettstown, New Jersey, according to the release.
Enso Village welcomes CFO
Enso Village, a Kendal affiliate, has welcomed Jaisie Lozano as its chief financial officer.
In this role, Lozano will oversee the community’s financial strategy and operations, supporting long-term financial sustainability, according to a press release.
Lozano brings more than 20 years of senior living and nonprofit finance to the position. She previously served as the CFO at Channing House in Palo Alto, a continuing care retirement community, the release states.
Hilton brings on leader for senior living vertical
Hilton has hired Ginna Baik as the senior director of business development for a new senior living vertical.
According to a LinkedIn post, Baik will be leading the go-to-market strategy for the vertical.
Baik previously served as the director of business development and age tech for AOL. Before that, she was the senior business development leader for senior living at Amazon.
Civitas expands sales leadership team
Civitas has appointed Kari Wilson as vice president of Sales and Deeni Rome as regional director of sales and marketing to expand its sales leadership team.
In her role, Wilson will work across the Civitas portfolio to support sales strategy, accountability and team development while helping community leaders translate broader organizational goals into market-level execution, according to a press release.
The appointments come as Civitas continues to focus on community-level sales execution, team development and occupancy growth across its portfolio of 32 independent living, assisted living and memory care communities in Texas, Colorado, Kentucky and Arizona, the release states.
New staffing leader announced at Priority Life Care
Priority Life Care has appointed Trent Schott as vice president of corporate soul.
In his new role, Schott will oversee the strategic direction and continued development of PLC U, Priority Life Care’s onboarding, education and training platform, according to a press release.
Schott brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to Priority Life Care, with a background “spanning multi-state operations, leadership development, employee training, compliance and organizational performance,” according to the release.
Anthem appoints community relations director
Anthem Memory Care has appointed Susan Embree as the community relations director for Rancho Springs, a community in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
In this position, she will be responsible for community outreach and marketing, a press release states.
Embree previously served as a sales specialist for Silverado Memory Care. She has over 30 years of experience in the senior healthcare industry, including independent living, skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care, according to the release.
