ER Senior Management Names New CEO

ER Senior Management COO and CFO Brian Dowd is set to add CEO to his title.

Dowd is set to take the reins following the retirement of current CEO Chris Coates on July 1. Coates will remain a principal with the company and board member in the Evergreen Companies.

In his new role, Dowd will continue to focus on asset and financial management for the company. He has more than 25 years of senior housing and commercial real estate finance and asset management experience overall.

Trilogy Hires Former Papa John’s SVP as Chief Marketing Officer

Trilogy Health Services has added Melissa Richards-Person to its executive team under the role of chief marketing officer.

In her new role, Richards-Person is tasked with overseeing the company’s marketing and business development initiatives, strengthening the Trilogy brand and engaging with new customers. She comes to Trilogy from Papa John’s International, where she most recently worked as senior vice president, brand.

Arrow Senior Living Bolsters and Expands Leadership Team

Arrow Senior Living has promoted several people on its leadership team.

Cassie Tweten is now Arrow’s chief sales officer. She joined Arrow in 2010 and has helped the company develop and execute sales strategies.

Arrow also announced that Justin Ladd has been appointed vice president of operations. Under his new title, Ladd will lead the company’s team of regional directors and help make operations more efficient.

Arrow announced other personnel moves, including:

— Rob Cain as vice president of compliance

— Hollie Walker as vice president of marketing

— Julie Mills as vice president of integration

— Kayla Barlow as vice president of resident experience

— Benjamin Massaro, Joshua Berger and Eric Aston are now executive directors at Arrow communities in Ohio

New President/CEO for LeadingAge Illinois

Angela Schnepf is the new president and CEO of LeadingAge Illinois. She officially takes the reins Aug. 1, following the retirement of the organization’s current president and CEO, Karen Messer.

Schnepf has spent more than 20 years in the association management field, with past experience in membership development, financial oversight, strategic planning, employee development and legislative initiatives.

Executive search firm Tuft & Associates aided LeadingAge Illinois in its search.

Covenant Names Director of Finance

Covenant Living Communities and Services has promoted Natalie Ostas to the role of national director of finance and controller.

In her new role, Ostas will be responsible for accounting oversight for all Covenant Living entities. She also will be tasked with overseeing audit, cost reporting, treasury, tax, and debt compliance.

Since joining the organization in 2018, Ostas has worked with Covenant as strategic finance manager and director of campus finance.

Grace Management Hires National Director of Life Enrichment, Memory Care

Grace Management is welcoming Ashlea Smalley as the company’s new national director of life enrichment and memory care.

In her new role, Smalley will provide support, inspiration, and training for life enrichment and memory care at all of the operator’s senior living communities.

She has worked in the senior care industry for about 15 years, and she has also taught as an adjunct professor at Northern Illinois University and Benedictine University.

Cadence Living Names Regional VP of Operations

Cadence Living has hired Sloane Buchanan to the role of vice president of operations for the company’s western region.

In her new role, Buchanan will have responsibility over operations of Cadence’s managed communities in Southern California.

Before Joining Cadence, she worked in regional operations and regional sales roles with Frontier Management. Buchanan has nine years of senior living experience overall.

Anthem Community Names Executive Director

Cascade Creek, an Anthem Memory Care community slated to open later this summer in Rochester, Minnesota, has named Theresa Bigalk as executive director.

Bigalk most recently worked as operations manager for Jaybird Senior Living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She has two decades of experience in senior living overall.

Baltimore Community Adds Director of Marketing and Relations

Kevin Jones is now director of marketing and community relations at Lighthouse Senior Living Hopkins Creek, an assisted living and memory care in Baltimore.

Before joining Lighthouse, Jones worked as a client services director at MedOptions Behavior Health and as a marketing manager of The Living Legacy Foundation. He also previously owned a Home Helpers franchise.

Berkadia Adds Head of Operations

Berkadia has hired Stephanie Anderson as senior vice president and head of Berkadia Seniors Housing & Healthcare Operations.

In her new role, Anderson will work out of Boston with SVP and Head of FHA and Berkadia Seniors Housing Finance Steve Ervin. Before joining Berkadia, Anderson worked as national sales director for Housing & Healthcare Finance. She also has held executive level roles with Health Care REIT — the company now called Welltower (NYSE: WELL) — GE Healthcare Finance and Ventas (NYSE: VTR).

iN2L Names CFO, COO

iN2L has named JB Snodgrass as its new chief financial officer and Skip Hanson as its new chief operating officer.

As CFO, Snodgrass is tasked with leading iN2L’s finances and supporting the company’s growth. He previously worked with Vrbo, an Expedia Group company.

Hanson, the company’s new COO, is responsible for leading, transforming and aligning the company’s key functional areas. He also will direct the company’s newly created strategic business development and partnerships team.

Dele Health Tech Names CFO, Chief Technology Officer

Norwegian fall-detection tech company Dele Health Tech has named Øyvind Sæta as CFO, and Sid Probstein as chief technology officer.

In the newly created CFO role, Sæta is responsible for leading the company’s financial function and helping to lead investor relations as a member of senior management. He previously led strategic initiatives, groups and projects at other private equity-owned companies.

As chief technology officer, Probstein is tasked with driving the company’s technology strategy, roadmap and delivery. He has helped lead other startup and emerging technology firms, and has experience in growth and acquisitions.

Propel Insurance Names National Sales Executive

Propel Insurance has added Chris Hayes as a national accounts sales executive, and as an equity member of the team.

Hayes has almost 30 years of experience working with organizations in the senior living, hospitality and construction industries.
