SlateView Capital closes second acquisition

SlateView Capital, a new real estate investment firm focused exclusively on senior housing, closed on the acquisition of Parkview Estates, marking its second community.

The 151-unit assisted living and memory care community is in Fountain Valley, California, and was completed in 2021, according to a press release.

SlateView’s southern California portfolio now totals 307 units.

“Parkview Estates is the kind of community we built SlateView to acquire: high-quality real estate in a strong market where thoughtful investment and active ownership can make a difference,” Managing Partner Azhar Jameeli said in the release.

Sunrise Senior Living under new ownership

BDT & MSD Partners has acquired a majority stake in Sunrise Senior Living as part of a $1 billion deal.

Sunrise today operates more than 230 communities across the United States and Canada and serves about 22,000 residents.

38-building portfolio sold for $90M

Blueprint facilitated the sale of a 38-building medical outpatient portfolio across Central Pennsylvania for $90 million.

The portfolio was sold by owner D&C Realty, the real estate ownership group of a large, regional independent primary care group, according to a press release.

At closing, a new 15-year absolute NNN master lease was signed by the tenant, Family Practice Center PC, across 30 single-tenant locations and 8 multi-tenant locations, the release states.

BWE secures $28.3M for Columbus community

BWE announced it secured a $28.3 million loan to finance Grove City Senior Living, a community in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area.

The loan will be used to take out existing construction debt and return equity to investors as the borrower plans for a long-term hold of the property, a press release states.

Taylor Hawkins, senior vice president in BWE’s Cleveland office, originated the financing from Fannie Mae on behalf of an Ohio-based developer of senior housing, the release states.
