Senior living provider Lifespark has named a longtime industry veteran as president of senior living, as the company continues to grow its new Complete model.
The company on Tuesday announced Kathy LeVee is taking on the role. LeVee previously worked as CEO of Generations Senior Living and as vice president of operations at Marquis Companies as a leader for post-acute care, independent living, assisted living, memory care, home health and hospice. She was also heavily involved in planning at Consonus and AgeRight. She brings to the company more than four decades of senior living and healthcare experience.
LeVee’s experience at Marquis and Generations helped her understand three lessons that are fundamental to senior living, including staying close to the people being served, invest in and support of staff and capturing sustainable performance through building trust with residents and families.
“What excites me about Lifespark is the opportunity to build on those lessons while thinking differently about what senior living can be,” LeVee told SHN. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen how much more we can do when we look beyond the walls of any given community and consider the whole person and the experience they may be seeking. Lifespark has the opportunity to bring housing, health care, wellness, and other supportive services together in a more coordinated way.”
She joins Lifespark following the company’s 2026 launch of its Complete Senior Living model, with growth plans in place for future scaling of the company’s 60 communities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The model brings together senior living operations, wellness, medical care and hospice as a coordinated service with the goal of making aging less fragmented for older adults.
“I wanted to work in something I haven’t done before, and the sheer size of what we’re building is exciting,” said LeVee. “I’m at a point in my career where I want to leave a legacy. Lifespark’s mission is contagious, and it leads with purpose. I knew this is where I wanted to leave a footprint.”
LeVee said the new Complete model can help older adults live longer and be healthier while bypassing avoidable health decline, hospitalizations and move-outs.
Lifespark’s new president of senior living is in 2027 focusing on staffing and supporting staff to create a “more engaged workforce. In 2027, Lifespark is introducing a new benefit and reward package for employees, while also reviewing the company’s compensation structure to find pay equitability, while also investing in more trailing to develop the next generation of leaders, according to Lifespark COO Matt Kinne.
Through the company’s business intelligence platform, LifesparkIQ, the company is creating a data ecosystem to support team engagement and provide communities with greater insights into operations. In 2026, the company reported improved employee turnover by 13%, Kinne added.
Lifespark projects “at the very least” 25% new growth in 2027 through being “selective in our partnerships,” according to Kinne.
“Growth is a work in progress and while we have plenty of requests to partner, we will do so with discipline to focus on density and aligned partnerships. We believe that’s where seniors and employees have the best experience,” Kinne told SHN on Tuesday via email.
As the company grows its Complete Senior Living model, Kinne said the company would “continue to focus on the discipline” needed to expand and grow the program.
