Florida community starts on $205M expansion

The Waterford, a senior living community in Juno Beach, Florida, recenty broke ground on its $205 million expansion and renovation project.

The multi-year project will add 84 IL apartments and eight patio homes in addition to expanding resident health care offerings to include AL and on-site memory care services.

The community is part of the Lifespace Communities, Inc. family, a nonprofit, multi-state senior living provider that serves more than 5,100 residents.

Clearwater Living opens AL community in California

Clearwater Living, a real estate and property management company, recently opened Clearwater at Glendora, a luxury community near Los Angeles, California.

The 117-unit community offers AL and memory care support for residents, most of whom started moving in earlier this month.

The two-story, 117,000 square-foot community consists of 88 AL and 29 memory care apartments with studio, companion, one- and two-bedroom layouts with contemporary finishes. Shared amenities include a theater and learning center, creative studio, salon, fitness center, wellness center and four dining venues. Various therapies are also offered on-site at the community.

New active adult community in New Jersey first phase complete

Walters, an apartment and real estate developer, is set to wrap construction on the Cornerstone at Branchburg, a new active adult community in Branchburg, New Jersey, later this month.

Residents are set to move in later this February, the company announced after completing the first phase of the project’s construction. The project will include 150 units when completed. Work on the second building is set to take place in the coming weeks and the phased development includes two, three-story buildings on an 11.7-acre campus.

The project originally broke ground in May 2021 and is set to be fully completed in the coming months. Units at the site range from one- and two-bedroom layouts between 700 and 900 square-feet with included laundry, fully-equipped kitchens and blinds. A social services coordinator is available upon request.

Income-restricted units are also open to those at or below 60% of the area median income. The entire project is designed to meet LEED and Energy Star certifications.
