Atria Senior Living, Related Companies officially opens Coterie Hudson Yards
Related Companies and Atria Senior Living have opened Coterie Hudson Yards, a luxury senior living community in New York City.
The latest Coterie community was designed by Handel Architects with interior design by March and White Design, with Coterie Hudson Yards consisting of 126 units including studio, one -and two-bedroom IL and AL units, along with a collection of studios for memory care.
Amenities include an in-building restaurant and bakery along with programming from Mayo Clinic Healthy Living certified wellness staff. Other amenities include on-site health care facility, fitness center, yoga studio, salon, diet planning and group class programming.
In October of 2021, Atria Senior Living and Related Companies launched the Coterie luxury brand as part of a $3 billion pipeline, with additional partners including Welltower (NYSE: WELL). The first Coterie community, Coterie Cathedral Hill in San Francisco, opened in March of last year.
Two additional Coterie locations are set to open in Santa Clara and Cupertino, California in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
New IL community to open in Virginia by nonprofit Wesley Housing
The Wesley Housing Corp. recently announced the grand opening of Senseny Place, a new, four-story IL community in Winchester, Virginia.
The 63-unit community will celebrate its grand opening on Jan. 31. The community itself offers 43 one-bedroom and 20 two-bedroom apartments with an average affordability at or below 60% of the area’s median income.
Elevent units are subsidized through the use of a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) project rental assistance contract At least one member of the home must be 55 or older with a handful of units reserved for those 62 and older.
Wesley Housing has acquired or developed over 2,800 units for low-and-moderate income families, older adults and those with disabilities.
