LifeCare Properties, ERG Announce Fourth Texas Community
LifeCare Properties and ERG Enterprises are collaborating on a new senior living community in Lubbock, Texas.
The assisted living and memory care community, called The Blake at Lubbock, is slated to span more than 100,000 square feet. Assisted living residents can choose from one- and two-bedroom apartments and studios; while memory care residents can choose from studio and one-bedroom suites.
The project is set to be the fourth Blake community in Texas and is slated to be managed by Blake Management Group.

Oakmont Holds Grand Opening for California Community
Oakmont Senior Living recently held a grand opening ceremony for Oakmont of Agoura Hills, a senior living community in Agoura Hills, California.
The independent living, assisted living and memory care community includes options for residents ranging from studio suites to two-bedroom units. Amenities include multiple dining venues, a library, movie theater, walking paths, resident garden beds, multiple courtyards and a pet park.
Journey Capital, SilverPoint Open First Phase of Texas Project
Journey Capital and SilverPoint Senior Living have opened the first phase of a forthcoming project in Saginaw, Texas.
The first phase of the community, Edition of Saginaw, includes 22 independent living one- and two-bedroom cottages. Current amenities include a dog park, walking trails and a clubhouse.
The project partners also broke ground on the project’s second phase, which when completed is set to add 74 assisted living and memory care units along with a fitness gym, activity room, salon, a covered porch, landscaped outdoor areas, a coffeeshop and a theater.
RLC Opens South Carolina Community
Resort Lifestyle Communities has opened Lakeview, a senior living community in Columbia, South Carolina.
The community has 128 apartments for rent in studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom options, with amenities such as an in-house bank, business center, pharmacy, fitness center, game room, 150-seat theater, general store and a salon.
Griffin Living Debuts New Varenita Brand Near Los Angeles
Griffin Living has opened a new community near Los Angeles.
The community, Varenita of Simi Valley, includes 102 units and amenities such as multiple dining venues, a lobby with a piano and a bar, a fitness and wellness center, salon, library, art studio and theater.
The community is also the first in Griffin’s new Varenita brand to open. Another Varenita community is slated to open in Westlake Village, California, in April.
