Holland Home Names New CEO
Senior living nonprofit Holland Home has chosen Troy Vugteveen as the organization’s new president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2022. He is succeeding current CEO Mina Breuker, who is retiring.
As CEO, Vugteveen will help guide the organization. His experience includes leading Hollant Home through most of its recent campus expansions and remodeling initiatives.
Holland Home also promoted Doug Himmelein to the role of executive VP of human resources and operations and Sarah Radler to the role of director of human services.
New CFO at Sinceri Senior Living
The company formerly known as JEA Senior Living recently added Jason Harris as its new CFO.
Harris comes to the role after spending a decade as senior vice president of analytics, acquisition and asset management for Meridian Senior Living.
St. Andrews Resources for Seniors System Names New CEO
St. Louis nonprofit St. Andrews Resources for Seniors System has hired Bill Holman to work as the organization’s next president and CEO. His position is effective Jan. 1, 2022, upon the retirement of current CEO Mary Alice Ryan.
Holman was previously CEO of Ginger Cove, a life plan community in Annapolis, Maryland, and he has held executive leadership positions in the industry for two decades.
American House Bolsters Leadership With Hires, Promotions
American House Senior Living Communities has announced several new hires and promotions to support the company’s growth plans:
— Jami VandeVelde is now president of wellness strategy and administration. She has more than 20 years of experience in post-acute and senior care settings.
— Kayla Meek joined the company as vice president of resident care. She has more than a decade of experience.
— Yovan Luyt has joined American House as vice president of operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care and independent living.
— Michael McLoone is now vice president of culinary. He has more than 20 years of experience in senior living, hotels and resort operation.
— Bill Gilbert has ascended to the role of senior vice president of accounting and shared services. His promotion will task him with leading IT as well as expanding risk management and corporate and portfolio management.
— Alison Tackett was promoted to the role of vice president of financial planning and analysis. In her new role, Tackett will continue to lead American House’s OpCo business and oversee re-forecasting, budgeting, capital expenditures and special projects.
Arrow Senior Living Names General Counsel, Managing Director
Sarah Klebolt is now general counsel and Michael Boyd is now managing director of asset management at Arrow Senior Living.
Klebolt will be responsible for Arrow’s legal and compliance departments, while Boyd is responsible for plant operations and capital expenditures.

Cadence Hires Southeast VP of Operations
Sheryl Klein has come aboard at Cadence Living as vice president of operations for the company’s Southeast region.
In her new role, she will oversee Cadence Living managed communities in Georgia and Tennessee. She brings to the role 26 years of senior living experience, including as a caregiver and in senior operational roles. She most recently worked as senior vice president of operations for Somerby Senior Living and Bridge Senior Living.
Anthem Community in Illinois Welcomes New ED
Lori Cantway has taken the reins as executive director at Grace Point Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Cantway previously worked as executive director at Eden Supportive Living in Chicago. She has about 16 years of experience in senior living overall.
Argentum Names Vice President of Workforce Development
Regina Serrano has joined senior living industry association Argentum as vice president of workforce development.
In her new role, Serrano will lead efforts to tackle workforce challenges and advance the organization’s different programs, such as Senior Living Works, Leadership Advancement & Development (LEAD) and Women in Leadership (WIL). She also will aid in growing Argentum’s Healthcare Apprenticeship Expansion Program (HAEP).
She has more than 25 years of experience in higher education and workforce management, and she most recently worked as managing director and grants development consultant for Pinnacle Workforce Strategies.
EUA Names Senior Living Market Leader in Milwaukee
Eppstein Uhen Architects has appointed Jennifer Sodo to work as a senior living market leader the company’s offices in Milwaukee.
In her new role, Sodo is tasked with supporting the company’s planning and design process as well as building and managing client relations. She previously worked as a senior associate specializing in senior living environments.
OneDay Names AVP of Client Success Operations and Enablement
Senior living technology company OneDay has named Rachel Nader to the role of assistant vice president of client success operations and enablement.
Her new responsibilities include creating all of the resources for the company’s partners, including training. She also will manage data metrics and key performance indicators.
She has more than 10 years of experience in the senior living industry, and has held positions with Five Star Senior Living (NYSE: FVE), Sunrise Senior Living, Bild & Co and Matchwell.
