Revel Community in California In Progress, Pre-Leasing

Revel Folsom, an independent living community from The Wolff Company’s Revel brand, is now pre-leasing with an expected opening date in 2022.

The 166-unit independent living community in Folsom, California, is planned to have wellness-centered amenities such as an onsite market, heated saltwater indoor pool, community gardens and multiple dining venues.

If all goes according to plan, Revel Folsom is expected to open in the spring of 2022.

Maplewood Opens First New Jersey Community

Maplewood Senior Living has held a grand opening to mark its first community in the Garden State.

The community, Maplewood at Princeton, has 105 studio and one-bedroom units and includes onsite healthcare and wellness amenities and activities. It is located on the campus of Penn Medicine – Princeton Health, a teaching hospital owned by the Penn Medicine Health System.

Alliance, Milestone Open California Community

Alliance Residential and Milestone Retirement Communities have announced the opening of Sonrisa Senior Living, an independent living community in Roseville, California.

The 201-unit community has alcove, one- and two-bedroom apartments for residents in layouts ranging from more than 600 square feet to more than 1,100 square feet. Amenities include an open kitchen; multiple dining venues; a lobby with a bar; fitness center; yoga and dance studio, salon, barber and spa; theater and media room; outdoor areas for gardening; bocce ball and pickleball courts; and a dog park and indoor dog wash.

RLC Opens Florida Community

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) has announced the opening of Shell Harbor, a new senior living community in Rockledge, Florida.

The 128-unit independent living community has apartments in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, with amenities including an in-house bank, business center, fitness center, game room, 150-seat theater, salon and multiple dining venues.

National Church Residences Opens Independent Living Expansion in Ohio

National Church Residences has added to its First Community Village campus in Upper Arlington, Ohio.

The $37 million new expansion, dubbed The Fairfax, has 70 independent living apartments and amenities such as a gym, juice bar and spa. The Fairfax was part of a two-year expansion project that also included new entrance and guide house as well as updates to the community’s The Chelsea neighborhood. The expansion also added outdoor features, new landscaping and gardens.

— A company related to Ryan Cos. has purchased land in Woodbury, Minnesota, with plans to build a 200-unit assisted living community there.

In progress

— Woodlands Senior Living has started work on a 48-bed memory care community in Bridgton, Maine.

— A $12 million senior living community is coming together in Pittsburgh.

Work is now underway for an 84-unit mixed-use project with a planned senior living component in Olive Branch, Tennessee.

— Otterbein SeniorLife celebrated the opening of an assisted living expansion project at its community in Pemberville, Ohio.
