Discovery Appoints First President of Construction, Development and Design

Discovery Senior Living has hired Akash Gaur as division president of the company’s in-house development, construction and design companies, a newly created role.

As the division’s president, Gaur will manage Discovery Development Group and Discovery Design Concepts.

Gaur comes to the operator with more than 20 years of real estate development and leadership experience. He most recently worked as director of development for Legacy Ventures.

Pegasus Names East Regional VP of Sales

Pegasus Senior Living has hired Stacy Woltz to the role of east regional vice president of sales.

In her new role, Woltz will have sales coaching oversight responsibilities for staff in a territory that includes Pegasus communities in Alabama, Georgia, and New York. Her past experience includes working as an assisted living marketing director and a regional sales manager for independent living assisted living and memory care communities.

J&M Family Management Names Healthcare VP

J&M Family Management, which is the operator of memory care senior living company Autumn Leaves, has hired Sharon Shields‐Rios as vice president of healthcare.

As healthcare VP, she is responsible for developing and managing the company’s community healthcare teams. She is also tasked with providing clinical support, guiding wellness policies and overseeing life engagement programming.

Shields‐Rios most recently worked as director of clinical compliance and risk management for American House Senior Living. She also previously worked for J&M in 2011.

Erickson Senior Living CCRC Names Director of General Services

Erickson Senior Living has promoted Karen Kollmer to the role of director of general services at Windsor Run, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Matthews, North Carolina.

In her new role, Kollmer is tasked with leading a team of 44 employees who are committed to providing and maintaining infrastructure at Windsor Run, including two new buildings slated for this fall.

Kollmer has more than 30 years of experience, and first began her career with Erickson in 1990. She previously worked as facilities manager of Windsor Run.

Presbyterian Homes & Services Names Senior Design, Development Managers

Presbyterian Homes & Services has named Jack Rasmussen as senior design manager and Kevin Lohry as development manager of Senior Housing Partners, the organization’s project development arm.

Rasmussen arrives at Senior Housing Partners after nine years at Braun Intertec, while Lohry brings to the organization 10 years of experience in the financial analysis and internal audit industry.

PointClickCare Co-Founder Moves to CEO Role

PointClickCare Co-founder and President Dave Wessinger is succeeding his brother, Mike Wessinger, as CEO of the company. Mike Wessinger is joining the company’s board of directors as executive chair, while Julieann Esper Rainville is moving to the role of president.

PointClickCare’s current board of directors chairman, Bill Dillane, is remaining on the board as vice chair. The moves are effective Sept. 1.
