Solera to Open Assisted Living and Memory Care Development in Denver

Solera Senior Living plans to open a 95-apartment assisted living and memory care community in Denver.

A joint venture between affiliates of Solera Senior Living and Banner Real Estate Group closed on the acquisition of a 2.3-acre parcel of land with plans to develop The Solera at Cherry Creek, according to a press release.

Plans call for a restaurant and a bar located on the third floor of the building with panoramic mountain views, an outdoor terrace and an exposition kitchen. The interior decor will draw from local inspirations, and residents will also have access to a yoga and meditation studio, an indoor-outdoor club area, a full-service spa and a walking trail.

Benchmark Planning Assisted Living in New York

Benchmark Senior Living has plans to open a 91-unit assisted living community in Woodbury, New York.

The community will span two stories and 74,000 square feet, according to a press release. Local officials with the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency recently approved an economic development compact for the development, with construction expected to begin soon and last about 18 months.

City Officials OK Minnesota Community

Local government officials in Medina, Minnesota, gave the go-ahead to a planned senior living community.

The community will include 83 units for senior housing and memory care, according to the Press & News.

Providence Place to Open Assisted Living, Memory Care Community in Pennsylvania

Providence Place Senior Living is spending $19 million to open a 113-unit assisted living and memory care community in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.

The community, which is planned on the site of a former inn, will have a spa, community room, pub, activity room, and deck overlooking a creek, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Workers to Break Ground on $72 Million Senior Living Campus in Minnesota

Construction is nearly underway for the first phase of a roughly $72 million senior living campus in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Work for The Lodge, a 139-unit independent, assisted living and memory care community, is scheduled to begin with a groundbreaking ceremony on Oct. 6., according to a press release. The whole community, The Lakes at Stillwater, will open at the end of 2018 after a three-phase development process.

Phase two is slated to include 30 independent living villas that will be accompanied by 70 independent senior living apartments in the third phase of the project. Amenities at the forthcoming community will include multiple dining venues, intergenerational programming, a wellbeing center, creative arts, nature-based therapeutics and a fireside bar lounge.

Intergenerational Living & Health Care is the community’s owner, and The Goodman Group, a Chaska, Minnesota-based company, is its operator.

Construction Set to Begin for Provision Living Community in Michigan

Provision Living is one step closer to opening a $22 million assisted living and memory care community in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Construction for the 116-bed community is currently scheduled to begin sometime this month, according to a press release. Workers demolished a former YMCA on the site in September.

When it opens, the new community will have amenities including a beauty salon, exercise room, movie theater, chapel and two dining rooms. The community’s exterior design will have landscaped courtyards, patios and walkways.

Construction is expected to last about 16 months with a projected opening in early 2019.

Belmont Village Reaches Construction Milestone for Texas Community

Houston-based Belmont Village Senior Living recently reached a construction milestone by “topping out” its forthcoming community in Austin, Texas.

White Construction Company completed the concrete structure of the three-story building in early September, according to a press release. The Mediterranean-style building spans about 130,000 square feet and will have 156 private apartments for independent living, assisted living and memory care.

The community is scheduled to open in summer of 2018.

Vermont Community Adds Senior Apartments

Health care provider Gifford Health Care on Sept. 27 cut the ribbon for 49 new independent living apartments in Randolph Center, Vermont.

The newly opened community includes a library, fitness center, dining room, lounges, a sun room, tavern and other community rooms, according to a press release.

New York Gets New CCRC

A $43 million urban continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located in the state of New York is now open.

Canterbury Woods at Gates Circle, which is located in downtown Buffalo, New York, officially opened its doors Oct. 3, according to Buffalo News. The CCRC has 58 independent and assisted living units.

Canterbury Woods at Gates Circle is owned and operated by Canterbury Woods.

Brookdale Community in San Antonio Reopens With ‘Mystery Murder Speakeasy’

A Brookdale Senior Living community in San Antonio celebrated its recent renovations with a “mystery murder speakeasy” party.

The community, Brookdale Senior Living of Kingsley, offers assisted living and memory care services.
