New Perspective Senior Living Collects Gifts For Seniors

While many people think of donating gifts to needy children and families during the holiday season, isolated and lonely senior citizens are often overlooked.  New Perspective Senior Living, partnering with the Gifts For Seniors program, is collecting gifts for distribution to elderly neighbors who are alone during the holidays.  Their residences, Lighthouse of Waconia, Lighthouse of Mahtomedi and Lighthouse of Columbia Heights, will serve as collection sites.

“We are honored to be partnering with the Gifts for Seniors Program this holiday season,” said Todd Novaczyk, CEO of New Perspective Senior Living. “We know from our experience working with seniors that many don’t have family or other connections and they are alone.  This partnership is important to us because it allows the Twin Cities community to reach out to them during this season.”

Donations will be collected from Thanksgiving to Christmas at the company’s Twin Cities locations so that they can be distributed throughout the winter months to the most isolated seniors within the Twin City metro area.  To date, the program has distributed more than 10,000 gifts to seniors in Anoka, Blue Earth, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Nicollet, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Washington, and Wright counties.
