New affordable project announced in Massachusetts for 2Life Communities

2Life Communities announced an affordable senior living community in Waltham, Massachusetts in place of a vacant former rest home, with the community to feature Passive House design standards.

The community will be a three-story, 68-unit affordable rental community and offer 66 one-bedroom units along with two-bedroom units. The ground floor will feature an active Village Center with flexible spaces for fitness and wellness activities, arts and culture programs and community events.

Fountain Hills community marks $10 million renovation

Fountain View Village, a senior living community in Fountain Hills, Arizona, recently marked a key milestone of a $10 million renovation project.

The project included a redesign of all common areas and apartments and upgrading all community amenities.

The community’s one-and-two-bedroom units, dining venues, salon, theater, reception and lobby, library, corridors and lounges now all have had finishes upgraded with a more modern contemporary design. The project also includes a sports court with a gazebo, pickleball court and putting green. That will be completed in early 2024.

The community is managed by Life Care Services (LCS).

Covenant Living starts on campus redevelopment at Illinois community

Covenant Living of Northbrook, a nonprofit senior living community owned and operated by Covenant Living Communities and Services, marked the groundbreaking of a $66.5 million renovation.

The project includes three, new three-story carriage homes that will add 36 one-and two-bedroom apartments, each equipped with a large patio or balcony and private garage. The project also includes a redesigned Town Center that added 9,000 additional square-feet of space with upgraded dining venues.

The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

The Virginian opens assisted living wing with $67 million renovation

The Virginian senior living community in Fairfax, Virginia recently completed the second phase of a $67 million renovation.

The renovated seven-story features four wings comprising 155 independent units, 56 assisted living units and 36 memory care units, along with 53 skilled nursing units as part of the 367,000 square-foot campus. Upscale amenities include a movie theater, salon, fitness center, art studio, living room and library, entertaining gaming area and a dining room with a bistro and outdoor terrace.

Thrive, Lawson Group finish phase one of Florida project

Lawson Group Architects recently announced the completion of phase one of 81 Oaks Senior Living, a new senior living community in Sarasota, Florida.

The community is marked on a 20-acre campus and includes a 108,000 square-feet building. The project is integrated into an intergenerational campus in collaboration with the N21 Group with the integration of a church and a K-8 public charter school on the campus.

The first phase of construction included a range of independent living, assisted living and memory care with studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with a resort center, with future phases of independent living apartments and a neighborhood of one-story villas with attached garages.

Stellar Senior Living opens Washington project

Stellar Senior Living recently marked the opening of The Gallery at Spokane in Spokane, Washington, according to a LinkedIn post by Stellar Senior Living Founder Adam Benton.

In the post, Benton said the initial demand for the community “has been impressive,” with the company’s goal of improving the lives of 10,000 residents and employees by 2030.

Cedarhurst to open new community, renovations at another property also underway

Cedarhurst of Chesterfield, a new community by Cedarhurst Senior Living, is set to open in early 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri.

The community offers multiple lifestyle options and a variety of floor plans with 37 assisted living units and 17 memory care apartments. The community has a 24-hour emergency call system and individual climate controls. The community offers assisted living and memory care services. The community also offers restaurant-style dining.

Alternatively, Cedarhurst is well-underway with renovations at Cedarhurst of Mequon in Mequon, Wisconsin.

The renovations included new paint, new trim, new carpet and flooring, light fixtures, stone countertops, with every detail aimed at creating an atmosphere of “comfort and sophistication,” a news release states. The community is also renovating its art studio and theater room.

JPI now leasing multiple communities

JPI announced it was now leasing at multiple senior living communities in Texas. The communities include:

– Jefferson Cove, a 283-unit community in Grand Prairie

– Parmore Fossil Creek, a community with urban architecture with extensive amenities with upgraded interiors for active adult residences

– Parmore Anna, JPI’s second installment in the company’s luxury independent living brand.

– Cedar Ridge in Dallas, Texas
