Morning Pointe Senior Living starts on memory care project

Morning Pointe Senior Living recently broke ground on The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence of Hardin Valley in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The memory care community is slated to open in early 2025, according to a news release from the company.

The community marks the 40th community for Morning Pointe and its 24th project in Tennessee. This marks the second phase of construction at the senior living campus, with Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley to transition to strictly assisted living going forward.

The single-level community will be an estimated 45,000 square-feet and include 60 memory care apartments that will accommodate early and advanced dementia. 

Ryan Companies, Grand Living and Castletop Capital top out Texas community

Ryan Companies, in partnership with Grand Living and Castletop Capital recently announced a construction milestone, having topped out the Grand Living at The Grove in Austin Texas.

The milestone marks the structural completion of the building, and the community is set to welcome residents in early 2025, according to a news release regarding the announcement.

The community is located in the midst of a mixed-use development and encompasses a five-story building with 177 independent and assisted living apartment units, along with a memory care wing.

Residents can choose between studios, one-and-two-bedroom apartments, with some units including dens. Living spaces range between 450 to 1,600 square-feet.

Belmont Village Senior Living, Baptist Health South Florida open Miami community

Belmont Village Senior Living in partnership with Baptist Health South Florida recently marked the opening of Belmont Village Senior Living Coral Gables, Miami’s most recent luxury community.

The community will offer access to the Live Healthy by Baptist Health, an on-site primary care officer to promote healthy living.

The community will offer a continuum of care across 232 apartment units with varying floor plans that were designed by Corwil Architects and constructed by Moss Construction.

The 10-story, mixed-use building will include retail stores on the ground level offering luxury amenities that range from a resort-style pool, full-service bar and bistro, outdoor lounge to a dining area and a barbecue kitchen.

The dining venue, Josephine’s Kitchen offers five-star dining with a wine wall set below a hand-blown glass chandelier. Other amenities include a fitness room, outdoor movie lawn, putting green, screening room, dog park and beauty salon.

Overall, the community is also certified National Green Building Standard Gold by being able to meet standards for air quality, energy, water and resource usage.

Friendship Village of Tempe now open after building addition

Friendship Village of Tempe, a community managed by LCS, recently announced the opening of a new, five-story independent living (IL) project on the campus of Friendship Village of Tempe, Arizona.

Interior design for the project was completed by Spellman Brady and Co. on the 64-unit IL expansion that covers 142,619 square-feet. A news release on the project calls its rooftop restaurant and brewhouse known as Starfire as the project’s “crowning highlight.”

Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for panoramic views of the surrounding desert and industrial accordian-style doors open from the restaurant to the main outdoor patio and other outdoor spaces.

The continuing care retirement community was first built in 1980.
