Kendal on Hudson appoints CEO

Kendal on Hudson, a Kendall affiliate, has appointed Jean Eccleston as its new CEO.

Eccleston has been an “integral part of the Kendal on Hudson” team for the past five years, and has been serving as the interim CEO and CFO for the company.

Among her accomplishments as CFO was refinancing Kendal on Hudson’s debt in 2022, which allowed for the capacity to invest in the Commons Refresh Project.

Avail Senior Living adds partner and owner-operator

Avail Senior Living has announced the addition of Cody Harvey as a partner and owner-operator.

Prior to joining Avail Senior Living, Harvey served as the executive director at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga.

Harvey joins founders Chris Beckstrand and Rob Cuthbertson in a hands-on approach of the company.

LCB Senior Living announces three employee updates

LCB Senior Living announced three employee updates for Lea Goddard, Maureen Cunningham and Arzu LeBlanc for its communities on Oct. 5.

Goddard has been named executive director of The Residence at Penniman Hill. In her role, she will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the community and ensure residents receive high quality care and service. She brings more than 20 years of experience in senior living to the position.

LeBlanc has been appointed as the executive director of The Residence at Bedford, scheduled to open in the summer of 2024. She brings more than a decade of experience to the position, having previously served as an executive director for EPOCH Senior Living and Benchmark Senior Living.

Cunningham has been hired to serve as the sales and marketing director for The Residence at Ferry Park. She brings 15 years of senior living experience to the position and previously served as the lifestyle advisor for the sales and marketing team at Evergreen Woods in North Branford, Connecticut.

Elancé Luxury Living hires three executive directors

Elancé Luxury Living announced it hired three new executive directors to lead three of its six luxury senior living communities in Florida and Virginia on Oct. 9.

Colin Baranick is taking on the role of executive director at Elancé at Pasadena, and brings more than a decade of experience to the position. Previously, he specialized in high-end luxury living and new development communities.

Denise Kircher will serve as the executive director of Elancé at Sarasota and has more than 30 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining Elancé, she held titles including business office manager, accounting director and office coordinator.

Kellie Baker is the new executive director at Elancé at Old Town Alexandria and has worked in senior living for more than a decade. Since completing her administrator in training program, she has served as an associate executive director, skilled nursing administrator and executive director.

Phoenix Senior Living fills two director roles

Phoenix Senior Living recently filled two positions for its Sagewood community in North Phoenix.

Sandi Grove is the community’s new director of plant operations. Grove brings more than 20 years of maintenance and engineering experience to the position, and spent the last four years managing operations for various senior living communities and luxury resorts.

In his position, Grove will manage the community’s maintenance and engineering teams, ensure the community maintains the highest standard of cleanliness and will be responsible for the internal mechanical, electrical, landscaping and plumbing maintenance.

Desiree Cogley is the community’s new director of human resources and has 23 years of experience in human resources and healthcare. She will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain staff for Sagewood.

RLPS Architects announces new senior designer

RLPS Architects, a multi-generational firm, has hired Max Winters as a senior designer.

Winters has served as a planner and designer focusing on aging-in-community approaches, dementia environments and the role technology will play in the future of aging.

In his position, Winters will drive the growth of RLPS’ Pittsburgh office by continuing to attract planning and design professionals to serve the senior living, higher education and K-12 markets.
