Melody Living opens Illinois community addition next week

Melody Living, a Cedarwood Development community, will celebrate the addition of an independent living (IL) neighborhood next week.

The community has 96 units with one and two-bedroom, pet-friendly units and feature private dining space, party space available for reservation, on-site restaurant and bistro with bar, along with valet services, patio access and outdoor walking paths near a fire pit and life-size chess board.

The community’s initial buildout was for its assisted living (AL) and memory care neighborhood that opened in 2020.

Friendship Village expands in Minnesota

Kraus-Anderson announced the completion of a $91.8 million expansion to Friendship Village in Bloomington, Minnesota, a community owned by Lifespace Communities.

The community spans 380,294 square-feet and adds a new five-story IL and AL building with 93 units. The expansion also includes a new, three-story skilled nursing building and a three-story health center with an occupational therapy gym and memory care suites.

Amenities include nursing care, dining spaces and private dining, fitness center, game and activity spaces, spa, salon and terrace.

Construction started in August of 219 and the community is set to open the expansion in November.

Allendale Senior Living makes renovations in New Jersey

Allendale Senior Living marked the formal opening of a renovated lobby and additional features in the multi-million dollar project.

The project is aimed at “transforming and modernizing this long-established Bergen County assisted living community,” a news release regarding the project said. No additional details were available regarding the project.

Newbridge Retirement finishes Missouri luxury project

Newbridge Retirement Community played host to a flag raising and ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the community located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

The 75,000 square-foot luxury community offers AL and memory care services with 83 apartments. Shared amenities include a library, cafe, salon, spa, pub, fitness room, art area, garden space, outdoor courtyards and walking trails.

Other amenities include a therapy room and transportation services for residents.

The community was completed in July after Impact Strategies partnered with Vessel Architecture, Bowen Engineering and Surveying and SSC Engineering.
