Active adult communities planned in Pennsylvania

The Toll Brothers (NYSE: TOL) recently announced plans to build a new collection of carriage-style townhomes for 55+ adults at the Preserve at Marsh Creek in Downingtown, Pennsylvania.

The communities are set to open later this year.

Preserve at Marsh Creek – Carriage Collection will include 105 carriage-style townhomes that range between 1,949 and 2,244 square feet offering first floor primary bedroom suites.

Toll Brothers are also building an active adult neighborhood, Preserve at Marsh Creek — Regency Collection. Homebuyers can select from eight different designs ranging between 1,726 to 2,579 square-feet.

Amenities include a clubhouse, outdoor pool, fitness center and yoga room, recreational courts, community walking trails and more.

Miami Jewish Health, McDowell Housing Partners propose affordable community

Plans for the Douglas Gardens Residences, a $137 million affordable living facility in the Miami, Florida area, are moving forward.

The project also includes a 15,500 square-foot medical facility that’s set to open in 2024. The community includes 410 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units for residents 62 and up.

Share amenities include pond with walking paths, multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas, a large fitness center, a business center with computer stations, craft and game rooms, a pet grooming station and a library.

BRIDGE Housing starts on California affordable community

Nonprofit BRIDGE Housing marked the groundbreaking of Kettner Crossing, a new affordable senior living apartment community in San Diego, California.

In partnership with general contractor R.D. Olson and AVRP Studios, the community will offer 64 affordable units to seniors who earn 30% to 50% of the area’s median income.

IntegraCare finishes Pennsylvania project

The Residence at Fitz Farm, a new senior living community in York, Pennsylvania operated by IntegraCare, is now open.

The community offers independent living, personal care, and memory care, with the community being broken down consisting of 68 IL units, 42 personal care and 20 MC apartments.

The four-story, 124,000 square foot senior living facility was constructed through a joint venture of IntegraCare and Avenue Development. Amenities include physical fitness and therapy areas, a beer rathskeller, a theater, hair salon, library, card room and a bistro.
