​​Expansion of affordable living for seniors continues in Massachusetts

Maple Woods, a new affordable senior living project in Wenham, Massachusetts, recently broke ground.

The project was developed by Harborlight Homes with SV Design and Windover Construction. The four-acre project includes 45 one-bedroom apartments with support services for those on low or fixed incomes for seniors 62 and older.

Property amenities include laundry on each floor, community gardens, a computer room, library and common lounge areas. Some units will have private porches and patios. Other touches include tile bathrooms, large windows, wood-look vinyl plank floors and modern kitchen appliances.

Hebrew SeniorLIfe starts construction on affordable project

Nixon Peabody LLP recently advised Hebrew SeniorLIfe in the site acquisition and construction of a new senior housing affordable living complex in Brookline, Massachusetts.

The project includes construction of a seven-story building consisting of 54 units for seniors 62 and older as part of Hebrew SeniorLife’s Center Communities of Brookline.

Combined with the Marilyn and André Danesh Family Residences, the Julian and Carol Feinberg Cohen Residences, and the Diane and Mark Goldman Family Residences, this new complex will expand the Hebrew SeniorLife seniors housing campus in Brookline.

Construction starts on Florida project

Aden Senior Living, a 120,000 square-foot, 131 unit community in Ormond Beach, Florida is now under construction.

The project is expected to be completed later this year.

The community was developed by RBS Ormond Beach Investments LLC, with Baker Barrios providing master planning, architecture and interior design services. The project will include 99 assisted living and 32 memory care units, along with amenities including a wellness center.

Caldwell Communities opens active adult community

The active adult development Chambers Creek by Caldwell Communities in Houston, Texas is now open.

The community offers an amenity center, on-site vineyard, private marina, pickleball courts and more.

Brightview Senior LIving opens 46th community

With the opening of Dulles Corner in Herndon, Virginia, Brightview Senior Living recently marked the 46th community in its portfolio.

The Baltimore, Maryland-based operator’s latest community offers top line amenities, including its Innovation Center Station, an area with restaurants, dog park, local businesses, office space, a hotel and apartments.

The 196-unit community includes a library, fitness center, pub, movie theater, salon and art studio. Private dining is also available and residents can enjoy the out door garden area with covered porch and a walking path.

Dulles Corner marks the third Brightview community in Fairfax County.

Cura Hospitality opens new social space

Phoebe Berks, a senior living community in Wernersville, Pennsylvania managed by Cura Hospitality, recently opened The Pub, a space for residents to enjoy spirts and food.

The new dining venue received a full liquor license and expanded dining services to drive the resident experience with a pub-style menu and local favorites.

Liberty Senior Living Tennessee community to open

Brightmore of East Memphis is set to open later this year.

The Liberty Senior Living owned and operated community will offer IL, AL and memory care across its scenic campus in the prominent Kirby Gate neighborhood of East Memphis, Tennessee.

The 8-acre property offers a range of on-site amenities including an indoor pool, fitness center and restaurant-style dining. Units on the property will be bright and airy with a range of on-site amenities.

LCS CCRC renovated in Delaware

A Life Care Services (LCS) community in Wilmington, Delaware, Foulk Living, recently saw renovations to the property.

LCS took over management of the comunity in 2021 and since then has enhanced services, programming and renovated the property with updated cottages and common spaces within the main building.

The CCRC sits on a 10-acre campus of parkland and residential area.

AgeWell Solvere Living opens Florida project

AgeWell Solvere Living announced the grand opening of 81 Oaks Senior Living, a community in Sarasota, Florida.

The project was developed by N21 Group and the architect was Lawson Group Architects. Construction was completed by Wiseman Construction.

Amenities include a theater, spa, fitness center, bistro, club room, bar and multi-functional community rooms. Outdoor amenities include a terrace with a gazebo.
