Koru Health, Matter, ICAP Plan Project in Wisconsin
Koru Health, Matter Development and ICAP Development are collaborating on a new senior living community in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
The community, called The Westerly, is slated to have 141 units for independent living, assisted living, memory care and specialty care services along with amenities including an aquatic center, social and dining room, tea room, health and fitness center, rooftop patio and a secure outdoor memory care courtyard.
Galbraith Carnahan Architects is the project architect, while the civil engineer is Pinnacle Engineering and interiors are being handled by O+O Studio.
Standard Plans Affordable Senior Housing Community in California
Standard Communities has announced a new public-private partnership to develop a $55 million affordable senior housing community in San Ramon, California.
Aspen Wood is slated to provide 123 units of affordable housing for older adults making between 30% and 60% of the local area median income. Amenities are set to include a community room, recreation deck and courtyard, fitness center, business center and a pet spa.
Black Mountain Development sold the parcel of land for the community. The project’s general contractor is Deacon and LCA Architects is leading design.

Confluent, MorningStar Break Ground on JV’s First Project in Nevada
Joint venture partners MorningStar Senior Living and Confluent Senior Living have announced the groundbreaking of their first-ever development in the state of Nevada.
The four-story community in Las Vegas is slated for 168 total units, with amenities including including indoor and outdoor dining venues, a pool and spa, fitness center and clubroom terrace overlooking the Las Vegas strip.
Virginia CCRC Breaks Ground on New Wellness Center
Lake Prince Woods, a CCRC in Suffolk, Virginia, has broken ground on a new wellness center and upgrades to the community’s commons areas.
The projects are part of a two-phase initiative to update wellness-enhancing amenities and memory care services on the campus. The total cost of the first phase is expected to be around $13.5 million, with details on the second still forthcoming.

United Hebrew of New Rochelle Opens New Memory Care Wing
United Hebrew of New Rochelle, a multi-campus senior housing and care community in New Rochelle, New York, has opened a new memory care wing.
The opening expanded the organization’s memory care facility, Willow Gardens Memory Care, with 17 additional private beds.
RLC to Open Wisconsin Community
A new Resort Lifestyle Community project is slated to hold a grand opening on October 6.
As planned, the community in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, has studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with flexible dining, transportation services and valet parking and a 150-seat theater.
