Kindcare updates timelines for two projects

Kindcare recently announced new timelines for two new middle-market senior living projects in Connecticut.

The company announced plans for communities in Bristol and Naugatuck as the company continues to grow. The Bristol project is set to open in the spring of next year while construction is expected to start construction in October.

Construction is being handled by Wohlsen Construction.

As previously reported by Senior Housing News, the Bristol project includes a 5-story, companion care apartment community able to house 117 residents with a focus on affordability for middle market residents.

McShane and Avenida announce completion of Tennessee community

McShane Construction Company and Avenida Partners recently announced final construction was completed on Album Indian Lake outside of Nashville in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

The three-story community sits on a five-acre property and boasts 138 units for those 55 and older with resort-style amenities, marking the 12th community for Avenida and the second for McShane and the operator.

Each unit contains stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, designer lighting, luxury tile and plush carpeting across the one and two-bedroom formats. Shared amenities include a 6,000 square-foot clubhouse with media and game lounges alongside a creative arts studio, bistro and fitness center. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool and deck, grilling stations, fire pit, lounge area, a pet park, game lawn and pickleball court.

Lease up is now underway.

LCS completes Florida community expansion

LCS Development announced the completion of an expansion project in Boca Raton, Florida.

The 111-unit IL community, of which 74% are occupied, includes new and remodeled amenities for the community as part of the $160 million project.

The project added two new dining venues, a cocktail lounge, movie theater, pool with outdoor and indoor dining and enhanced common areas. The existing fitness center and spa were also renovated as part of the expansion.

-Mercy Housing Northwest is starting work on a 100-unit community at a former school in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

-Transition Assisted Living opened a new community in Gladstone, Michigan.

-Brightview Senior Living project in Port Jefferson, New York now complete.

-The Bristal at Bethpage assisted living community in Bethpage, New York is now open.
