The Springs Living Breaks Ground on Oregon Project
The Springs Living has started construction on a new senior living community in Happy Valley, Oregon.
The community, The Springs at Happy Valley, is designed to have 210 units and amenities that include an indoor pool, a movie theater and multiple themed dining venues.
LRS Architects designed the community, while R&H Construction is the project’s construction firm.
Capitol Seniors Housing Starts Work on New Jersey Community
Capitol Seniors Housing has started construction on Arbor Terrace Marlton, an assisted living and memory care community in Evesham Township, New Jersey.
The three-story community is planned to have 87 assisted living and memory care units. Amenities include a common and private dining, a theater, living rooms, bistro, hair salon, seating areas, lounges and outdoor garden areas with a pond.
For the community’s design, Meyer Senior Living Studio took inspiration from the “traditional colonial architectural style of South Jersey.”
Community Under Construction Makes Headway in Florida
A sales center is now open at Sunscape Daytona Beach, a senior living community under construction in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Sunscape Daytona Beach is slated to have 85 studio, one- and two-bedroom rental apartments for assisted living and memory care residents. Amenities include a fitness center, theater, salon, library, bistro, multiple dining venues, an event center, space for games and meetings and walking trails.
Solvere Living, the management division of Solutions Advisors Group is slated to manage the community. Protea Capital Partners is the project’s owner and developer, while Irwin Partners Architects is the architect.
NYC Highrise Under Construction to Include Affordable Senior Housing
The 58-story highrise coming together in the New York City borough of Queens will include at least 100 units of senior housing, according to a story on New York Yimby, a local development news site.
The units will be 100% affordable, according to a representative for operator RiseBoro Community Partnership. RiseBoro currently manages over 600 units of senior housing in and around the city’s Brooklyn borough.

Florida Life Plan Community John Knox Village to Open Center for Healthy Living
John Knox Village, a life plan community in Pompano Beach, Florida, is set to open a new Center for Healthy Living facility in May.
The $1.5 million facility will offer a range of services to residents; including routine physicals; wellness counseling; immunizations and vaccinations; management of chronic conditions and diagnoses; preventative care; and treatments of routine ailments or medical conditions.
The project’s partners include Everside Health, Johns Hopkins Healthcare Solutions and Holy Cross Health.
The community set a grand opening for May 19.
United Properties, Great Lakes Management Open Minneapolis Community
United Properties has opened the doors to Cherrywood Pointe of Bloomington, a community managed by Great Lakes Management in Minneapolis.
The 118-unit, four-story community has amenities such as multiple culinary venues; a community room; salon; fitness room and yoga studio; sun porch and outdoor patio; underground parking; and balconies on most of the units. The community’s common areas are also equipped with a bipolar ionization air filtering system.
Weis Builders build the community, which was designed by Kaas Wilson Architects and Henrik & Co.
