Multifamily Developer Alliance Announces Florida Community

National multifamily developer Alliance Residential Company plans to develop a 187-unit senior living community in Delray Beach, Florida.

Project partners include architecture firm MSA Architects and Alliance Residential Builders South Florida, the project’s general contractor.

The community has an anticipated opening date in 2020.

Atlas Plans Projects in Texas and South Carolina

Atlas Senior Living is making progress on several projects.

The senior living provider is due to start construction on two 231-unit communities in Georgetown and New Braunfels, Texas, in the first quarter of 2020.

Atlas is also expanding Fairview Park, one of its existing communities in Greenville, South Carolina. The expansion will have 110 independent living units. Construction is slated to begin in October with an expected completion date in September, 2020.

Discovery Community in Florida Now Pre-Leasing

Discovery Village At Naples in Naples, Florida, has announced pre-leasing for prospective residents.

The 175-apartment community will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom independent living residences with amenities such as a grand clubhouse with indoor and outdoor dining options, a pool with covered cabanas and a fitness center.

The community represents a $60 million capital investment, and construction is expected to wrap up by the summer of 2020.

Architectural Concepts designed the community, with Wegman Design Group handling the interior design. The Henning Group is the general building construction management firm in charge of construction, and Key Bank is the project’s construction financing partner.

Oakmont Senior Living Plans California Community

Oakmont Senior Living is planning Oakmont of Riverpark, a senior living community in Oxnard, California.

The 84-unit assisted living and memory care will have amenities such as a library, movie theater, fitness center, activity rooms, salon and day spa, flower and vegetable garden, walking paths and a pet park.

The community is currently on track to open this winter.

Illinois Life Plan Community Breaks Ground on Addition

Wyndemere, a life plan community in Wheaton, Illinois, is expanding.

The community recently broke ground on a project to add 33 apartment homes ranging in size from 1,000 to 1,900 square feet. The addition will also include underground parking, a saltwater pool, a top-floor lounge and a rooftop terrace.

Goodman Group Teases $70 Million Community in Minnesota

The Goodman Group hosted an open house for its forthcoming community in Stillwater, Minnesota.

The new community, dubbed The Lodge, will include 139 units and offer independent living, assisted living and memory care services.

The Lodge is the project’s first phase. Construction for its second phase Birchwood Landing, is underway with plans for 30 two-bedroom lake homes. A third phase called Sandhill Shores is also in the works, with plans to add 70 one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Multicultural Community in Illinois to Open Clubhouse

Verandah Senior Living, a planned multicultural senior housing community in Hanover Park, Illinois, on July 14 will hold a grand opening for a new clubhouse.

The campus, which is set to welcome its first residents in September, will have 55 townhomes, 72 condominiums, and an 80-bed assisted living and memory care community.

The clubhouse, part of the community’s first development phase, includes a dining room, fitness room, computer room, furnished outdoor patio and multiple common spaces. A larger clubhouse will eventually replace the first-phase clubhouse, adding the same amenities as above in addition to a movie theater, beauty salon and library.

Blake Poised to Open Three Communities Soon

The Blake Management Group is set to open three new communities in Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia within the next month.

The Blake at Kingsport in Kingsport, Tennessee; The Blake at Baxter Village in Fort Mill, South Carolina; and The Blake at Charlottesville in Charlottesville, Virginia; are all set to open doors in the next 30 days. All of the communities will span 90,000 to110,000 square feet.

Blake is embarking on a period of rapid growth, with two new communities in Texas, three in Florida, one in Louisiana and one in South Carolina due to open over the next year and a half.

Capitol Senior Housing Opens Maryland Community

Capitol Seniors Housing has opened a new senior living community in Gambrills, Maryland.

The $27.2 million community, Arbor Terrace Waugh Chapel, will have 84 residences and is slated to be operated by The Arbor Company.

Amenities include a bistro area main dining room with a wood ceiling, library with a fireplace, fitness and rehab room, salon and spa, theater and other areas.

Moceri Opens Michigan Project

Moceri Companies has opened Blossom Ridge, a 44-acre senior living campus in Oakland Township, Michigan.

The community has individual cottage homes, paired duet homes, ranches and one- and two-bedroom apartment homes. Amenities include a salon and spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a 20-acre park, pickle ball and bocce ball courts, fitness studios, a technology studio and performance theater and an an art studio.

Singh Expands North Carolina Community

Singh has expanded its Waltonwood Lake Boone community in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The company opened new assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. Overall, the $60 million community has room for more than 200 residents.

Singh’s Waltonwood portfolio is expanding, most notably through a project taking shape in Cary, North Carolina, where the company is creating a mixed-use, intergenerational development that will combine multifamily housing with senior living.

Evergreen Completes Renovations at Chicago Community

The Evergreen Real Estate Group has wrapped up a $4 million renovation of Bethel Terrace Apartments, a 123-unit affordable senior housing community located in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood.

Indoor improvements included new flooring, paint, appliances, cabinetry and countertops, vanities and plumbing fixtures, energy-efficient baseboard heaters, LED lighting, lighting, elevator upgrades, shared Wi-Fi and an enhanced security system.

The community’s exterior also got an upgrade, with a facade restoration and roof replacement, installed new lighting and landscaping, replaced fencing, repaired sidewalks, repaved the parking lot, and added a new garden patio with accessible seating.

Plans are in the works for an 80-unit senior housing community in Rochester, New York.
