Erickson Senior Living names COO

Erickson Senior Living has announced the promotion of Gregg Colon to chief operating officer effective Jan. 1, 2024.

In his new role, Colon will oversee all community operations and execute strategic plans for the company. He is succeeding Debra Doyle, who is retiring after a 22-year career with Erickson Senior Living.

Colon joined Erickson Senior Living in 2012 as vice president of continuing care and “played a major role in bringing the full continuum of care to all communities” in the network, according to a press release. In 2014 he joined the network’s corporate executive team as senior vice president of health services.

Prior to joining Erickson Senior Living, Colon was senior vice president of resident care and services for Sunrise Senior Living.

Cura Hospitality announces two culinary changes

Cura Hospitality has announced the appointment of a new corporate culinary director and corporate executive chef.

John Cramutola has been appointed as corporate culinary director. In his role, Cramutola will lead the culinary department, share progressive methods and ideas to enhance guest and resident satisfaction.

Cramutola brings 11 years of healthcare and 14 years of culinary experience to the position and has opened a fast casual restaurant in South Jersey and served as a saucier/sous chef at Trump National Golf Course.

Jason Clark was promoted to corporate executive chef and will be assisting Cramutola with the development, transition, implementation and training for Cura’s culinary programs. Clark has served at The Hotel Hershey, Harrisburg Hilton Hotel and Towers, Hollywood Casino and has opened various restaurants.

Woodleigh Chase names associate executive director

Woodleigh Chase, an upcoming Erickson Senior Living community opening in Fairfax, Virginia in early 2024, is expanding its leadership team with Tyler Kypers as associate executive director.

Kypers has 15 years of experience in the company, and most recently served as director of finance at Sienna Lakes in Naples, Florida. Before that, he served as a business office manager and community finance analyst at Lantern Hill in New Providence, New Jersey.

Brandon Wilde names new director of sales and marketing

Brandon Wilde has selected Cheryl Stevens as its new director of sales and marketing.

In her role, Stevens will lead marketing and sales functions and be responsible for creating strategies to attract prospective residents to join the community.

Prior to joining Brandon Wilde, Stevens served in a variety of sales roles, including sales counselor, VP of sales and marketing and director of marketing for companies such as Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Berkshire Hathaway and a large boutique lifeplan community in Virginia.

Heron’s Key announces new wellness program manager

Heron’s Key, a senior housing community in Gig Harbor, Washington, announced the addition of Angela Winks as wellness program manager.

In her role, Winks will work closely with residents in assisted living and independent living, manage the fitness department, life enrichment program and activities programs.

Winks brings more than 13 years of experience to the position, serving as a personal trainer, holistic health coach, fitness director and Next STEP program director.

The Seneca Rockville brings on senior living sales counselor

The Seneca Rockville has tapped Toni McCarthy to join the community’s management and services team.

McCarthy brings more than two decades of experience to the position. Prior to joining The Seneca, she served in roles such as sales counselor and social worker in rehab, nursing homes and assisted living communities.

New Wellness 360 coordinator joins The Watermark at Southpark Meadows

A Wellness 360 coordinator has joined The Watermark at Southpark Meadows through a partnership with HealthPro Heritage.

Michelle Whigham joined The Watermark in August and offers a holistic approach to resident wellness through fitness classes.

Whigham has more than 20 years of experience as a personal trainer.
