The Springs Living names executive director of upcoming community

The Springs Living has named Drew Shaffer as executive director of The Springs at The Waterfront, a 250-unit senior living facility coming to Vancouver, Washington in 2024.

As the executive director, Shaffer will assemble the community team and direct community operations, including resident experience, operational performance and culture-building for staff.

Shaffer has 17 years of senior housing leadership experience in Clark County, Washington, where he has spent time as executive director and regional director of operations for The Quarry Senior Living and as executive director and administrator at Glenwood Place Senior Living.

Enso Village welcomes executive chef

Enso Village, the zen-inspired senior living community from Kendal Corp. in Healdsburg, California, has welcomed Kyle Evans to serve as the community’s executive chef.

As the executive chef, Evans will lead the kitchen and culinary team for Enso Village to create dining experiences for residents, their families and the greater community.

Before joining Enso Village, Evans worked at Cyrus in Geyersville, Calif., and Acquerello in San Francisco. He has also served as executive chef and director of nutritional services at Adventist Health Howard Memorial, a hospital in Mendocino County.

The Gatesworth Communities appoints chief revenue officer

The Gatesworth Communities in St. Louis has appointed Patrick Leonard as its chief revenue officer.

Leonard will oversee sales and marketing with an emphasis on maximizing revenue and business growth.

Leonard’s most recent position was chief growth officer at Parasol Alliance. Prior to that, he served as vice president of sales at Sherpa CRM.

Life plan community names executive director

Brandon Wilde, a life plan retirement community in Augusta, Ga., has named Greg Byrge as its executive director.

Byrge will be responsible for creating and overseeing the community’s budget, implementing plans to grow occupancy and maintain the community.

Prior to his appointment, Byrge has worked in a variety of positions in senior living communities across the country, with his most recent being executive director of Wesley Lea Hill in Auburn, Wash.

Lawrence Group announces two staff promotions in senior housing

St. Louis-based designing and planning firm Lawrence Group has announced a variety of staff promotions, including those in the senior housing sector.

Among those promoted include Katie Alderson, who was promoted to senior associate, who specializes in multi-family and senior living projects. Alderson joined Lawrence Group in 2013 and has 13 years of interior design experience.

Cole Hoffarth was also promoted to senior associate, who has more than 10 years of design and management experience. Hoffarth works with Lawrence Group’s education, municipal and senior living clients.
