Ohio Living appoints counsel, compliance officer 

Columbus, Ohio-based Ohio Living recently appointed David DeSimone as its chief counsel and compliance officer.

DeSimone will coordinate and advise on all legal matters for Ohio Living, while also managing ethics and compliance program activities. He will also work with the company’s board of directors and executive leadership team.

With nearly three decades of experience in the field, he most recently served as the senior vice president for CentraCare Healthcare System where he directed legal, risk, insurance, strategy and growth plans.

Ohio Living CEO Laurence Gumina said DeSimone was an “innovative and transformative leader with proven transactional experience.”

Ohio LIving has 12 life plan communities across its portfolio.

Watercrest Senior Living Group adds new leader

The Vero Beach, Florida-based Watercrest Senior Living Group recently announced the addition of Samantha Sipe to the company’s executive leadership team.

Sipe will serve as operations specialist, aiming to support driving service quality and efficiencies across all Watercrest senior living communities.

She brings over a decade of senior living experience to her new role, having most recently served as an executive director for a Pennsylvania community, Harmony at Hershey. Prior to that, she worked as an executive director with Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD) and Elmcroft Senior Living, according to her LinkedIn profile.

LW Consulting hires manager

LW Consulting Inc. recently announced Brett Schreyer has joined the organization as the manager of workforce solutions.

Schreyer’s arrival comes following the retirement of Cathy Benfer, and he will take over interim and permanent placement services along with executive compensation and human resource consulting.

He brings over 25 years of experience in human resources , including 12 years in senior living as a human resources director.
