The Springs Names 2 Regional Directors to Newly Created Roles

The Springs Living announced that two of its regional director – Amy Brown and Nicole Jemming – have been named to the newly created positions of VP of operational excellence and VP of operations, respectively.

Brown’s new responsibilities will include forward-facing operational strategy and creating a talent pipeline within the company through a leadership development program.

Brown is in her tenth year with The Srpings where she started as the executive director of The Springs at Carman Oaks in Lake Oswego, Oregon. She was in 2020 promoted to the position of regional director. She is also the sitting vice chair of the State of Oregon Long Term Care Administrator’s Board.

Jemming, who will be the company’s VP of operations, will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of all of the operator’s communities including the supportive infrastructure.

Jemming also started with The Springs as an executive director where she served from 2017 to 2020 at The Springs at Whitefish in Whitefish, Montana before being promoted to the role of regional director in 2020. There, she oversaw the company’s entire Montana-based portfolio and a few Oregon communities.

WesleyLife Names LCS Vet Allison Pendroy as COO

WesleyLife announced that Allison Pendroy will be its next chief operating officer effective later this summer.

Pendroy comes to WesleyLife with nearly 15 years of experience with Life Care Services, the Des Moines, Iowa-based senior living operator. At LCS, Pendroy oversaw 26 communities as senior VP.

At LCS she has also served as finance director or asset management and VP/director of asset management. Prior to working in senior living, Pendroy began her career with Principal Real Estate and Carlson Hotels Worldwide.

Barclay Friends Announces Marketing Promotion

Barclay Friends Senior Living announced that Kelly McCool has been named as the company’s new senior director of admissions and marketing.

McCool began her career in the field of health care administration near Barclay Friends in the Philadelphia suburbs before venturing to California where she advanced her career. McCool returned to eastern Pennsylvania in 2001. Prior to the new position, she served as an admissions and utilization review manager.

ProMedica Appoints HR Chief

ProMedia announced Floyd Chasse as its new chief human resources officer. Chasse will take over the position on July 17.

Chasse brings more than 25 years of experience to the position including the past eight years where he served as the chief human resources officer for the Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Enso Village Finds Facilities Director

Enso Village, a Zen-inspired senior living community in the San Francisco market, announced that John McEntee is its new facilities director. McEntee will oversee the team responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the community including interior and exterior management.

McEntee brings 15 years of experience in the facilities and maintenance operations including his most recent position as the director of facilities with a California-based homelessness advocacy organization.

OnePoint Partners Taps Industry Vets in Partnership Deal

OnePoint Partners announced that senior living veterans Brett Mehlman and Denise deFiebre will be coming on board to lend their experience and expertise as part of a strategic partnership between OnePoint and Senior Care Development.

Senior Care Development CEO David Reis will take a minority ownership stake in OnePoint Partners as a result of the deal which will empower OnePoint to better serve its nonprofit clients.

Emerald Heights Appionts HR Director

Life plan community Emerald Heights announced that Mandy Bossard will be its next director of human resources. In the role, Bossard will oversee the HR team and recruitment and onboarding of new employees in addition to a number of other responsibilities.

Bossard has a 12-year human resources background in both the public and private sectors. Her specialty is in recruitment, retention and employee relations.
