Vi at Grayhawk Executive Director Steven Jones Appointed to Future Leaders Program of the American Health Care Association
Vi at Grayhawk recently announced Executive Director Steven Jones, NHA, has been appointed by The American Health Care Association to represent the state of Arizona in its Future Leaders Program. With the appointment, Jones will have the opportunity to participate in future leaders training program in Washington, DC, as well as become further acquainted with leadership opportunities at a state and national level.
Jones has served in the senior living industry for more than 5 years. For the past 3 years, Jones has served as Executive Director of Vi at Grayhawk, formerly Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies. Prior to working at Vi at Grayhawk, Jones served as administrator of Scottsdale Nursing and Rehabilitation. Jones completed an administrator-in-training program at Provo, Utah, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications at the University of Utah.
Pathway Senior Living Announces Staffing Changes & Announcements
Pathway Senior Living recently announced the following changes to its staff and awards:
- Dave Dickinson, Executive Director of Victory Centre of Bartlett in Bartlett, Illinois was the 2010 recipient of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) Hero Award as Executive Director of the Year.
- Michael Vick was promoted to Chief Accounting Officer, responsible for the company’s financial metrics and reporting, and assisting with financing of new developments and acquisitions.
- Martin Bukacek was promoted to Director of Compliance and Business Solutions, overseeing the company’s tax credit and Medicaid compliance programs, annual budgeting process, and benchmarking efforts.
- Patrick Dimaano was promoted to Business Solutions Manager, assisting the company in its benchmarking efforts and developing the tools needed to enhance its customized multi-platform software.
- Lisa Rogers joined the company as Human Resources Manager, overseeing the company’s award-winning talent management program.
Aegis Living Hires Ex-Starbucks Marketing Chief as New CMO
Aegis Living has annonced that Judy Meleliat has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, she will lead all sales and marketing efforts for the company’s 35 senior living communities in Washington, California and Nevada.
Meleliat’s vast experience includes overseeing marketing for all of Starbucks in the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing. In this leadership role she directed Starbucks’ corporate brand strategy and product brand positioning. She led their first-ever integrated, domestic advertising campaign to improve brand awareness and executed Starbucks’ Europe market entry strategy among many other achievements.
Meleliat spent a number of years in charge of sales and marketing for Egghead Discount Software as well as other technology focused businesses. Recently she held the role of Chief Marketing Officer for In Spa. Meleliat holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.

Pam Price Joins Promatura Group
Pam Price has joined ProMatura Group, LLC as a technical writer/editor with responsibility for reviewing and revising market research reports and statistical data. Prior to joining the Oxford, Mississippi-based firm, Price was a technical writer and project coordinator with the Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), which is under the auspices of the Office of Science within the U.S. Department of Energy. She was responsible for authoring information technology documents and served as a liaison for ETDE, an OSTI-run data base. Price graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in English and a minor in Psychology from the University of North Alabama.
Creating Results Adds Andrea Ellen to Staff
Creating Results recently announced the hiring of Andrea S. Ellen. Ms. Ellen has served the senior housing industry as both a consultant and in corporate marketing and her achievements include directing the marketing operation for Benchmark Assisted Living for the acquisition of three portfolios across six states. Ms. Ellen is highly experienced with both acquisition and turn-around of multi-site retirement communities and nursing homes.
During her career, Ms. Ellen has worked with a wide range of senior housing organizations, including CareMatrix Corporation’s luxury senior communities which ranged from CCRC’s to assisted living; Benchmark’s assisted living properties; MMR Associates’ independent living and assisted living communities; Resources for Senior Living’s assisted living communities; and Five Star Quality Care’s full service retirement living and skilled nursing communities. Ellen will be based out of Creating Results’ New England office and will provide services to clients nationally.
