Griffin Living plans California AL/MC project

Westlake Village, California-based Griffin Living recently announced plans for a new memory care and assisted living community in Santa Clarita, California.

The operator announced a $3 million land acquisition for the community that will offer 24-hour care, all-day dining and luxury amenities. The community will have a capacity for over 100 residents. The project also is another partnership between Griffin Living and Hankey Capital.

Construction is expected to start later this year and open in 2024, with the project marking the eighth community across the company’s $500 million portfolio.

The Integral Group starts Atlanta affordable project

The Integral Group will have McShane Construction build Veranda at Assembly in Atlanta, Georgia, an affordable living community.

The 2.9-acre, 100-unit community marks the fifth partnership between The Integral Group and McShane Construction. On Atlanta’s northwest side, the four-story community will include a wood frame building with masonry and siding exterior. The property will offer 3,000 square-feet of amenity space.

Shared amenities include a bistro, cafe, fitness room, yoga room and fourth-floor outdoor terrace.

Units will be offered in one- and two-bedroom floorplans and will feature granite countertops and vinyl-tile flooring.

Dynamik Design is providing architectural services for Veranda at Assembly. Completion is scheduled for June 2024.

Vi renovates Colorado community

Vi at Highlands Ranch is expanding with additional care units at the community following a groundbreaking ceremony. 

The new care center set to open in April 2024 will offer new care units across the SNF, AL and MC continuum.

Illinois-based Vi offers 10 life plan communities across the U.S.

Watermark Retirement Communities completes Texas luxe community

The Hacienda at Georgetown, a Watermark Retirement Communities luxury community, is set to open later this week in suburban Austin, Texas.

The community is part of Watermark’s luxury brand Elan Collection and includes 231 residences in studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts for IL, AL and MC. The community includes four upscale dining venues and a range of shared luxe amenities. Those include a resort-style pool, private dog run, amphitheater, 24/7 concierge care and more.

A virtual reality suite, Engage VR, allows residents to visit places they have never been, while also organizing real-world luxury trips across the country.

Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland completes solar project

Westminster, Maryland-based Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland recently completed two solar energy projects at two communities.

Solar Energy Services and Mission Energy installed 400 solar energy panels at Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant, in Ellicott City, Maryland and Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, Maryland. The projects are expected to reduce the community’s electricity use by 25%, saving each community $60,000 to $70,000 annually on utility costs.
