MorningStar renovates California community
MorningStar Senior Living celebrated the grand reopening of MorningStar Senior Living of Pasadena.
The 144-unit community underwent a complete renovation to the four-story property after being acquired by the Denver, Colorado-based senior living provider in December 2020.
The design approach by Aneka Interiors was to create a warm and welcoming environment full of rich texture, a news release announcing the renovation said. The design team updated the community’s color palette and now features warm wood tones, natural stone counters and black metal finishes to mimic the ironwork found in the surrounding neighborhoods.
The first floor includes a bistro and the second floor features memory care units and the community offers a variety of entertainment options with a reimagined theater. Along with the theater is the art and garden room, with other spaces including salon, club room with terrace, music room, multiple libraries, enlarged dining room and fitness and therapy center.
An additional building next to the existing community will offer IL units that is set to open in 2025.
