Erickson Senior Living-managed Florida CCRC starts construction
Siena Lakes, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Naples, Florida, started construction of its 66,000 square-foot continuing care retirement community (CCRC) expansion known as Torre Square.
The two-story building will feature 53 residences consisting of AL apartments and MC and long-term care suites and will welcome residents in late 2024, the company said in a news release. Design is being handled by Bessolo Design Group and the general contractor is Kaufman Lyn Construction.

New Hope Senior Communities completes Michigan community
New Hope Senior Communities recently announced the completion of its senior living community in White Lake, Michigan.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held later this week for the community that offers IL, AL and MC services on a 21-acre campus. A cornerstone of the development was the goal to preserve “several” acres of heavily wooded portions of the property as part of an environmental conservation approach, a company news release said.
The community offers 59 IL and AL apartments in one and two-bedroom layouts ranging between 500 square feet and 947 square feet. A total of 36 MC units are on the property for residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, with units ranging from 450 square feet to 630 square feet.
The campus includes single-story residences, with a variety of amenities ranging from a beauty salon to a life enrichment area, movie theater, chapel and library. Three courtyards with walking paths are also included at the community.
Move-ins are now underway.
Touchmark opens portion of Texas community
Beaverton, Oregon-based senior living provider Touchmark recently announced the opening of an information office at the site of the in-progress community Touchmark at Emerald Lake in McKinney, Texas.
The community, set to open this fall, is on an 80-acre parcel that includes an 11-acre spring-fed private lake and is 35 miles north of Dallas. Services offered include IL, AL and MC, two additional health-focused services will be included to bridge AL and MC coordination.
Phase one of construction includes 149 IL units, 84 AL units and 32 MC residences, with the second phase to include additional AL homes, lake homes, villa homes and a health and fitness center with pool and spa. Three dining venues will accompany the community.
The community was designed by three architecture with Studio Six5 as the interior designer and Talley Associates as landscape designer. General contracting is being done by Andres Construction.
Touchmark has 14 communities in 10 states and Canada.
