Frontier Management announces promotions, appointments

Dallas, Texas-based Frontier Management recently announced a number of executive and regional promotions and appointments.

Hayley Bemis Rotenberg was promoted to Chief People Officer and will operate the company’s human resources department. Bemis Rotenberg has been with Frontier for five years and served as human resources specialist and also had two previous promotions prior to the latest move.

Elizabeth Simon was promoted from Vice President of Operations in Oregon to Vice President of Risk and Licensing and will operate from the company’s Portland, Oregon officers. Simon has been with Frontier for over a decade and advanced from a community-level leader to Vice President of Operations in that time.

Don Seaton was promoted to Vice President of Operations for Oregon after serving as Executive Director and Area Manager in central Oregon. In a news release, the company said Seaton was “instrumental” in the promotion and advancement of Frontier’s SPARK program to benefit those with Alzheimer’s, while also opening two communities for the company.

Byron Betler was appointed Frontier Management Director of Financial Planning and Analysis with a focus on clinical, marketing and operations.

Josh Buller was appointed Executive Director of The Pavilion at Tecolote Canyon Senior Living in San Diego, California, a community that’s set to open in the fourth quarter of this year.

Jerry Lynn Daniels was appointed Executive Director of Senior Living at The Greens, an AL and memory care community in St. Augustine, Florida, a community that is set to open in February.

Buckner Retirement Services announces VP, COO

Michael Olmstead was recently named Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the company.

In the role, he will oversee operations of the faith-based, nonprofit provider and implement processes and strategies supporting the company’s overall mission. He brings over two decades of senior living experience to Buckner and previously served as Vice President of Operations for Ascension Living where he led an operations team of 34 communities across 11 states and Washington D.C.

Olmstead takes over for Brian Robbins, who served the company for the past six years.

Erickson Senior Living communities name multiple new hires

Riderwood, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Silver Spring, Maryland named John Porter its new Associate Executive Director.

Porter most recently served as director of dining at Ashby Ponds, a sister community located in Ashburn, Virginia. He started with Erickson Senior Living nearly two decades ago as assistant general manager with Riderwood’s dining services team.

In a news release, the company said Porter will support the day-to-day operations of the 120-acre campus home to more than 2,300 residents.

Eagle’s Trace, another Erickson Senior Living-managed community, announced the hiring of Scott Marvin to its sales and marketing department where he will serve as a Sales Counselor in the senior role.

Marvin brings nearly two decades of sales experience to Eagle’s Trace, and he will assist priority list members and prospective residents to select a residence while reviewing financial considerations and transitioning into the community.

Eagle’s Trace is a nonprofit CCRC situated on a 72-acre campus in West Houston, Texas with over 1,000 residents and 525 employees. 

Fox Run, an additional Erickson Senior Living-managed community, also promoted Pamela Cameron to Director of Resident Life. Cameron first joined Erickson in 2019 as a fitness manager. In that time she has contributed to overall culture of the resident life department and expanded the community’s fitness programming.

Washington LPC adds wellness manager, fitness specialists

Emerald Heights, a life plan community in Redmond, Washington promoted Alexandra Clark to Wellness Programs Manager and hired fitness specialists Katharine Manter and Tanner Bostian.

Clark has worked for Emerald Heights over the last five years and previously supervised the trips and events department, along with life enrichment activities, for IL residents and the Corwin Center. In her new role, CLark will oversee these areas and takes on oversight of the fitness program.

Prior to joining Emerald Heights, Clark taught theater and Zumba classes to senior living communities

Anthem Memory Care names community relations lead

Anthem Memory Care community Willowbrook Place in Littleton, Colorado recently named Anna Cusic as Community Relations Director.

She will be responsible for community outreach and marketing in her new role. She previously served as Regional Director at the AFFIX Group in Denver, Colorado and served as Director of Entertainment and Programming at HighPointe Assisted Living and Memory Care with Spectrum Retirement Communities in Denber.

Cusic brings over six years of senior living, sales and leadership experience to the role. 

Watermark Retirement Communities welcomes new director

The Watermark at Coral Gables, a luxury community operated by Watermark Retirement Communities, recently appointed Rene Sanz Jr. as executive director.

The community is set to open in February. She previously worked for six years in the hospitality industry before working as an executive director at a Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD) community. In 2006, he became director of operations with Senior Living Management, managing communities in Georgia, Philadelphia and Florida, then returned to community life as executive director with Five Star Senior Living in 2015. 

Health Dimensions Group adds executive advisor

Health Dimensions Group recently announced John Capasso has been named Executive Advisor of Senior Care for the company.

Previously, Capasso served as Executive Vice President and President, Continuing Care Division for Trinity Health. In that role, he was accountable for the executive leadership of the continuing care division with 60 senior living communities in eight states along with six health and seven hospice agencies in 14 states and 21 Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) centers in nine states. Previously he served as Senior Vice President of Continuing Care of Catholic Health East with 34 hospitals and 9,000 employees.

In the new role, Capasso will provide consulting services to the organization’s clientele, including hospitals and health systems, senior living and care communities, and PACE organizations in the areas of strategy, board development, leadership and more.
