Lutheran Senior Services to proceed on mixed-income community

Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) and the Tower Grove Community Development Corporation were recently awarded a final tax credit to move forward with a new mixed-income senior living development in the Saint Louis, Missouri’s Bevo Mill neighborhood.

The project will create 64 affordable and market-rate apartments for older adults and will employ four full-time staff members.

The building was made available through a donation from the Midwest BankCEntre, with LSS to manage the property once completed in approximately 30 months, the company said in a news release.

LSS has 18 locations in Missouri and Illinois serving 13,000 residents.

Sunrise Senior Living reopens Washington community after renovations

Sunrise Senior Living recently reopened Sunrise of Redmond in Bellevue, Washington after an extensive renovation project that started in 2019.

The 75,000 square-foot, two-story community will be home to up to 119 residents and offer AL and memory care services.

The renovation included updated amenity spaces and updated furniture in residences with a new bistro and lounge. The company’s in-house design studio partnered with Wattenbarger Architects to redesign interiors to add an “elegant mix of contemporary and mid-century modern design,” a news release from Sunrise said.

Springpoint community opens interfaith center

The Oaks at Denville, a Springpoint community in Denville, New Jersey, hosted a grand opening for its new interfaith center.

The center will serve as a multi-purpose, nondenominational space for residents of all faiths, backgrounds and life circumstances.

Funds for the project were contributed by residents and supported through the Springpoint Foundation’s Spiritual Care Campaign.

Springpoint manages eight life plan communities and 19 affordable housing communities.

Charter Senior Living to manage Miami metro area luxury community

The Contemporary, a luxury senior living community in Westchester, Florida near Miami, is now open.

It will be managed by Charter Senior Living and offer one- and two-bedroom apartment layouts with open floor plans and modern features as part of the six-acre campus. Shared amenities include gathering spaces, indoor lounges, casual dining options, a fitness center and more.
