Cedarhurst Senior Living promotes president
St. Louis, Missouri-based Cedarhurst Senior Living recently promoted Almir Sajtovic to president after over a decade with the company.
Sajtovi joined Cedarhurst in 2011, and prior to that entered the senior living industry in 2003.
Sajtovic’s rise provides inspiration for those within his orbit, Cedarhurst Assistant Director of Operations Morgan Semanisin said in a news release issued Wednesday.
“I have never felt more supported,” Semanisin said. “With Almir’s leadership, the progress we have made as an organization has been truly incredible.”
Cedarhurst is set to open three more communities in 2023, with “several more in the coming years,” the company said in the news release. The company operates 55 communities across eight states.
HMP Senior Solutions adds CEO, president
Nashville, Tennessee-based HMP Senior Solutions recently announced Shawn O’Conner’s appointment as president and CEO.
HMP Senior Solutions manages a portfolio of 39 properties, with 28 assisted living, 10 skilled nursing and one independent living community located across 10 states.
O’Conner replaces Scott Phillips, who will be transitioning into a newly created role of chairman. O’Conner previously served as the company’s executive vice president and chief development officer since April of this year.
He brings more than a decade of health care leadership experience, and prior to joining HMP Senior Solutions, he served as the senior vice president of operations for Signature Healthcare LLC where he was responsible for management and operations of 50 skilled nursing and AL communities across four Southeastern states.
Through its subsidiaries, HMP Senior Solutions manages 40 facilities in seven states.
Retirement Unlimited Inc. promotes multiple executive positions
Retirement Unlimited Inc. recently announced the promotions of Ryan Wilson as chief investment officer (CIO), Jennifer Jones as chief financial officer (CFO) and Matt Winningham as vice president of asset management and development.
Wilson will oversee RUI development and acquisitions as well as RUI ancillary services including the LUXE Unlimited Salon and Spa, Care Impact, and LifeWorks Services.
Jones brings over 15 years of accounting and finance experience to her new role and will oversee financials and accounting for current RUI communities, the business office and accounts payable.
Winningham joined RUI in 2016 and has held leadership positions in plant management and operations as well as assisting multiple communities in Virginia and Florida as interim executive director. He will lead current and future development projects and cover various plan operations, procurement, IT and development areas.
Distinctive Development names president, development officer
Freehold New Jersey-based Distinctive Living’s sister company Distinctive Development recently named Christopher Hoard as president and chief development officer.
Hoard brings more than two decades of executive and management experience in senior housing development to the company, specializing in active adult, IL, AL and memory care.
Distinctive Living currently operates 26 communities and has 19 projects actively under development through Distinctive Development.
Buckner Retirement Services taps sales director
Dallas, Texas-based Buckner Retirement Services recently announced Allison Vanderford as senior director of sales.
In the role, she will provide sales leadership and strategic support for the six Texas communities operated by the faith-based, nonprofit senior living provider.
Vanderford previously worked as Vice President of Sales for Integrated Real Estate Group in Dallas managing its Integrated Senior Lifestyles property portfolio. She has also held sales leadership roles at Life Care Services (LCS) and Comfort Keepers in San Antonio, and Westminster in Austin.
WellAge Senior Living welcomes new director
WellAge Senior Living recently announced Keli Childs as executive director of the Monument, Colorado community Jackson Creek Senior Living.
Childs has worked in senior living since 2011 and has experience in sales, acquisitions, executive management, and national operations.
Convivial Life community brings on senior living vet
The Cabana at Jensen Dunes, a 126-unit AL and memory care Convivial Life community in Jensen Beach, Florida recently announced Lisa Cummins as campus executive director.
Cummins brings over two decades of experience in leading senior living organizations, including AL, life plan and hospice-based communities.
Her hiring is also part of an expansion planned at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes, with an additional 170 IL units, a new clubhouse and other support services to complement the existing community footprint.
