Affordable senior living community hosts groundbreaking ceremony

A new affordable senior living community in Teaneck, New Jersey recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the project that’s an effort by The Alpert Group LLC and Geriatric Services Inc.

The affordable housing community will bring 40 IL senior living apartments to those 62 and older in late 2023, replacing a vacant municipal building on the site. The project will consist mainly of one-bedroom units. Amenities include on-site parking, a community room and energy-saving design features to foster healthy living.

Resort-style community hits major construction milestone

A project by Newbridge Properties and Impact Strategies recently held a topping out ceremony of a new senior living facility in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

The new AL and memory care community consists of 75,000 square-feet of space and offers a resort-style atmosphere with 83 apartments between 47 for AL, 11 units for couples and 36 memory care units that are private apartments designed for memory care for those with dementias.

The community’s common spaces include a library, café bistro, salon and spa, pub, fitness room, art and gardening areas, outdoor courtyards and walking trails, therapy room, and personal transportation services.

The households will have its own private dining, kitchen, nursing station, and common living spaces.

Affordable housing community opens in Los Angeles

HumanGood celebrated the grand opening of Castle Argyle, a 96-unit affordable housing community located in Los Angeles, California.

Site upgrades included new elevators, drought-tolerant landscaping, surface repaving, exterior building repairs, energy efficiency upgrades and updates to all units with new appliances, kitchens and bathrooms.

“The rehab also added resident service space and restored the grand lobby back to its classic Hollywood style,” a release from HumanGood states.

Two new murals were also added at the site, one inside the lobby and an external mural on the parking structure wall.

Design was handled by Relativity Architects and construction was managed by Walton Construction as the general contractor.
