Sonata Senior Living appoints senior VP

Orlando, Florida-based Sonata Senior Living recently appointed Jennifer Benoit as senior vice president of finance and accounting.

Benoit will be responsible for development and execution of all corporate accounting and financial reporting functions.

Benoit joins Sonata with over 16 years of accounting experience in senior housing and hospitality management, most recently serving as Bridge Senior Living’s vice president of accounting.

Sonata operates nearly 1,100 units across Florida.

12 Oaks Senior Living adds three team members

Dallas, Texas-based 12 Oaks Senior Living recently added three new team members to its employee roster, welcoming Nesley Fortenberry, Jayme Tapia and Amy Hoster.

Fortenberry joins the team as a sales consultant, bringing a decade of senior living experience to the team. In her most recent position, she was regional sales director responsible for 12 communities in Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Tapia brings over a decade of senior housing, multifamily housing, development and restaurant experience to her new role as solutions consultant. She has experience in multi-community oversight, lease-ups, development, and mentoring sales and marketing directors.

Hoster also joins as sales consultant, bringing more than three decades of sales, marketing and business development initiatives in senior housing.

12 Oaks Senior Living operates 20 communities in Texas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Massachusetts.

Retirement Housing Foundation welcomes two executives

Long Beach, California-based Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) recently welcomed Yuri Escandon as vice president of affordable housing operations and Andre Perry as vice president and chief operating officer.

Escandon will oversee daily operations of the foundation’s property, management and its affordable housing arm known as RHF Management, Inc. He brings two decades of experience in nonprofit affordable housing management to his new role.

Perry brings more than two decades of experience in real estate, development, affordable housing finance, nonprofit management law and real estate finance to his new role. He most recently served as Manager of the Proposition HHH Unit and Multifamily Tax-Exempt Bond Unit for the Los Angeles Housing Department.

RHF sponsors and manages 194 communities in 29 states and Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland community adds director

Carroll Lutheran Village, a life plan community of the Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland, in Westminster, Maryland recently welcomed Peter Bolt as its executive director.

Bolt comes to the community with 25 years of senior living experience. Previously he helped lead a 270-unit CCRC as executive director and a 720-unit CCRC as associate executive director.

Carroll Lutheran Village serves approximately 700 residents in 397 homes and apartments, 50 AL suites and 103 skilled nursing beds.

Health Dimensions Group builds out human resources, consulting teams

Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Health Dimensions Group (HDG) recently announced the additions of Julia Eiland and promotions of Ericka Heid and Sarah Friede.

Eiland joins as vice president of consulting, people and culture, while Heid was promoted to senior vice president of people and culture and Friede promoted to senior vice president of recruitment.

Eiland joins after serving in various leadership positions at several senior living providers, and brings two decades of experience leading initiatives in cultural transformation, organizational change, talent management and leadership development.

Friede runs a nationwide workforce service line that helps clients in recruiting and candidate placement for leadership roles. She also leads HDG’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee. Prior to joining HDG, Friede served in several leadership roles with Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD) communities.

Heid provides leadership in ongoing development of work processes, systems and organizational culture tied to recruitment, retention and workforce development. She brings experience in human resources and previously served as executive director of a senior living community in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and as a senior human resources consultant at HDG.

HDG manages 47 communities in seven states serving over 2,500 residents and 2,000 employees.

Attane names leadership team

Kansas City, Missouri-based Attane, a senior living and care marketing firm, recently announced Scott Kokotan as president and CEO and recently hired Catherine Felten as senior vice president and Lisa Pearre will serve as chief client officer.

Kokotan has served as Attane’s chief financial and development officer since March 2019 and helped transform the company’s technology platform. He succeeds Chris Egan who left Attane this summer to pursue chairperson and board member roles for a Kansas City-based technology business.

Pearre will lead the company’s client service group and she brings over two decades of senior living marketing experience to the company. She is responsible for directing client relationships and strategies around lead generation for senior living communities.

Integral Senior Living community names sales, marketing director

The Capstone at Centerra Senior Living, an Integral Senior Living (ISL) community, recently named Shannon Barker as director of sales and marketing.

Barker previously served as executive director of three separate senior living communities in Colorado and New Mexico, and also brings nearly three decades of senior living operations and management experience to her new role.

Carlsbad, California-based ISL operates various IL, AL and memory care communities across 18 states.
