Ryan Companies to build new Seattle community for Aegis Living
Ryan Companies U.S. will build a new senior living community in Seattle, Washington for Aegis Living.
The project broke ground in March of this year and is expected to open in early 2024. The five-level senior assisted living and memory care community will include 92 resident apartments with shared amenities including a movie theater, activity rooms, wellness suite and community rooftop space.
One level of business space and one level of underground parking will also be included in the project.
Ryan Companies has completed over 60 senior living communities across 17 states.
Emerald Heights expands in Washington
Emerald Heights life plan community (LPC) has started construction on its courtyard building in addition to its campus.
The expansion helps meet the needs of the growing community by adding more apartment homes with a centralized entry plaza.
The three-level building will add 42 IL units to the space along with six apartment designs ranging from 826 to 1726 square-feet.
Construction is expected to be complete in late 2023.

Affordable living community tops out in Indiana
The Evergreen Real Estate Group announced the topping-off of the $30 million assisted living community Green Oaks of Goshen in Goshen, Indiana.
The four-story, 120-unit assisted living community broke ground last October and is expected to welcome residents in early 2023.
The state-licensed community will be operated by Bourbonnais, Illinois-based Gardant Management Solutions.
Construction of the facility is being handled by Evergreen Construction Company, with crews now installing windows and façade finishes, including fiber cement siding and stone veneer, which will be followed by the installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection areas.
The project also marks the first of two ground-up assisted living developments handled by Evergreen.
Upon completion, the project will offer 49 studio and 71 one-bedroom apartments for seniors 62 and up with incomes at or below 80% of the area median income.
Each unit features a kitchen and full private bathrooms. Shared amenities will include a community room, shared kitchen, media and theater room, computer room, meeting area, fitness center, salon, library and community garden with assorted outdoor areas.
Civitas completes construction on Texas community
Civitas Senior Living announced 50% of the units at Harvest of Aledo have been pre-leased, with the community set to open later this year.
The project, in Aledo, Texas, is now hosting hard-hat tours for families prior to open.
The community will offer IL, AL and memory care units, including 20 IL villas on campus and amenities and services include a bistro and restaurant-style dining options.
Healthcare Systems opens New York community
The Parkview at Fountaingate Gardens life plan community recently received its certificate of occupancy in Commack, New York.
The $115 million, 129-unit luxury community recently welcomed 50 residents in the one-and-two bedroom apartment homes. A second building on the campus opened for occupancy in May.
It features 11 floor plans with options ranging from 830 square-feet to 1,350 square-feet. The Terraces consists of 27 apartments, with six floor plan options ranging from 1000 square feet. to 1,570 square feet. Both four-story buildings are connected to the community’s 20,000 square-foot clubhouse which features an array of wellness-focused amenities, along with a heated saltwater pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, salon, library and multiple dining options.
The project is operated by Gurwin Healthcare System.
Erickson Senior Living expands in Virginia
Erickson Senior Living recently opened its 5,000 square foot sales center at Woodleigh Chase, a new senior living community set to open in late 2023 in Fairfax, Virginia.
Woodleigh Chase adds to Erickson Senior Living’s national network of managed communities and is the third in northern Virginia — others include Greenspring and Ashby Ponds.
The project’s first phase of development will include a total of 262 independent living apartment homes and a 43,000-square-foot amenity space. Independent living apartments will range from 812 square feet to over 1,800 square feet.
Revel opens California community
The Revel Folsom, a 55-plus IL community is now open in Folsom, California.
The community offers a fitness center, salon, concierge, dining, movie theater, art studio and suites for activities along with a saltwater pool.
Hawthorne at Presbyterian Village North to open
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the opening of the Hawthorne at Presbyterian Village North.
The ceremony will honor Douglas D. Hawthorne, founder and CEO emeritus of Texas Health Resources.
