Kindred Uncommon Previews Forthcoming Texas Project
Kindred Uncommon, the company formerly known as Cantina Communities, has released renderings of its forthcoming senior living project in Buda, Texas.
The company expects final development approvals and to break ground later this summer, with plans to start accepting refundable deposits in the fall and begin pre-leasing before the end of the year.
If all goes according to plan, the first residents will move in as early as the summer 2023.

MorningStar, BayRock Multifamily Break Ground on California Project
Project partners MorningStar Senior Living and BayRock Multifamily have broken ground on a six-story senior living community in Berkeley, California.
The community, MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care of Berkeley is slated to have 113 suites and amenities such as private gardens and terraces that integrate into the community’s activity and dining spaces and a roof deck. Other amenities include a fitness center, therapy room and a theater.
MorningStar and BayRock Multifamily are partners on the community along with an institutional investment partner. MorningStar will serve as the community’s operator when it opens.
Other project partners include Trachtenberg Architects, DCI Construction and Thoma-Holec Design.
RLC to Break Ground on North Carolina Community
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is slated to hold a groundbreaking for a new community in Greensboro, North Carolina, on June 16.
The $30 million community spans about 180,000 square feet and includes amenities such as an in-house bank, pharmacy, general store and salon.

New Heartis Community Opens in Atlanta
Integral Senior Living (ISL) has announced the opening of Heartis Buckhead, a 19-story, 213-apartment senior living high-rise slated to open in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.
ISL is managing the community, and will offer its signature Vibrant Life, Generations Memory Care and Elevate programs.
