Texas Footprint Expands for Anthology

Anthology Senior Living announced plans to develop two new communities in Austin and Dallas, Texas totaling 251 residences, bringing Anthology’s total to six communities in Texas.

Anthology of The Arboretum, located on 2.1 acres in Austin, Texas, will offer assisted living and memory care options. The 131,000-square-foot, five-story building features 130 studio apartments. Amenities include a salon, fitness center, discovery room, theater, clubhouse and a bar/bistro.

Anthology of Highland Park includes 121 assisted living and memory care units in a 144,000 square-foot space as part of an 11-story building featuring 97 assisted living units, 24 memory care suites and 97 assisted living residences with 24 care suites. Amenities include a theater, a library, a pub with a fireplace, a fitness center and a salon, among others.

Construction is led by Cadence McShane. Both communities are expected to wrap up in late Spring 2023.

Anthology Senior Living spans 42 communities across 16 states.

Texas Community Prepares to Welcome Residents

Civitas Senior Living will soon wrap construction on the Harvest of Aledo with an anticipated resident move-in date coming this fall.

The community offers independent living, assisted living and memory care units, along with 20 independent living villas. Amenities include stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets and community features including a bistro with restaurant-style dining options.

Oakmont Expanding in California

Oakmont Senior Living announced it opened model homes at its Moorpark and Covina senior living communities ahead of resident move-ins later this year. Both projects are currently under construction with an anticipated completion date later this summer.

Moorpark offers one-and-two bedroom apartment homes, with the model residence allowing prospective residents a chance to get a first-hand glimpse at life in the community.

Oakmont of Covina Hills offers parks and equestrian trails around the perimeter with a garden, water feature, fire pit and pet park all accessible on the campus. Community amenities at both locations include a wellness/fitness center, movie theater, library and access to complimentary chauffeur services and a concierge medic program.

Oakmont owns and operates approximately 42 communities in California and Nevada.

New Community Geared Towards Affordable Living

Chicago-based Evergreen Real Estate Group announced plans for a $30 million, 120 unit assisted living community for low income residents of Valparaiso, Indiana.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 19 for the project known as Green Oaks of Valparaiso that’s set to wrap up in April 2023.

The community includes 48 studio and 72 one-bedroom apartments all reserved for those at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI), with a financial assistance program offered to those who qualify.

Once open, the community will be managed by Garden Management Solutions.

Florida Community Geared Towards Independence

Residents are moving into the Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay after construction wrapped up earlier this month on the independent living community in Bradenton, Florida.

The 198 unit community is made up of one-and-two bedroom apartments offering kitchens, stainless steel appliances and full-size bathrooms with walk-in showers. A 250,000 square-foot community clubhouse anchors the campus and other shared spaces include fitness center, salon, theater, spa and massage suites.

Construction started in February 2020.

Discovery Village at Sarasota Bay is one of 18 namesake communities owned and operated by the national senior living provider organization, which is based in Bonita Springs, Florida. Discovery Senior Living currently operates 110 communities across 19 states.
