Resort-style Active Adult Community Planned in Dallas, Texas Suburb

Avenida Partners is teaming up with Artemis Real Estate Partners to develop a resort-style active adult community in Carrollton, Texas.

The Avenida Carrollton will consist of 155 rental apartments including one and two bedroom floor plans, along with 48 duplex and triplex cottages consisting of 35,000 square-feet of interior and exterior amenities. The interior amenities will include a great room, private dining room, fitness center, yoga and dance studio, salon, and creative arts studio. Interior amenities include a pickleball court, pool and spa, poolside grilling and lounge area, and community gardens with a dedicated farm-to-table courtyard.

The residences includes designer flooring, quartz countertops, walk-in closets, step-in showers, and private patios and balconies. Apartment floor plans will range from 686 square feet to 1,285 square feet; with duplex and triplex cottages ranging from 1,360 square feet to 1,490 square feet equipped with attached garages and front and back yards.

Silverado Announces Memory Care Community Near Los Angeles

Silverado Senior Living announced plans for a memory care community in Torrance, California known as Silverado Rolling Hills.

This brings the total number of Silverado communities in Los Angeles County to six, with the Rolling Hills development to mark the fourth new development this year.

The community will be two stories and offer a range of programming and 24-hour nursing services.

Oregon Project Planned for Online Senior Living

Onelife Senior Living plans to build the Esther Assisted Living Community in Springfield, Oregon and consist of 103 units. The project marks the fifth assisted living and memory care community owned by Online.

Chicago-based speciality investment bank Ziegler financed the project.

Affordable Senior Living Community Coming to New York City

RKTP Architects and Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens announced the design of a 135-unit development of senior living for homeless seniors, in New York City’s Brownsville neighborhood.

The Pope Francis Apartments at Loreto will consist of a mix of independent housing and support services with support of on-site case management services for the 8-story facility.

The community will include solar panels to reduce the building’s overall carbon footprint with cross-ventilation to further reduce energy costs.

Florida Life Plan Community Breaks Ground

The Oaks at Cypress Cove life plan community in Fort Myers, Florida is now under construction following a groundbreaking ceremony earlier this week.

The 12-acre site will hold 24 residences and 24 pre-sold villas that will include smart home technology. The $46 million project is expected to be completed by the end of next year.

The two-bedroom and three-bedroom villas range from 2,230-2,396 square feet and offer dens, waterfront screened lanais, designer finishes, large walk-in closets, storage areas, and two-car garages. The elevated residences in the tower offer two-bedroom suites that range from 1,406-1,958 square feet with open floor plans and walk-in closets.

The Oaks clubhouse will offer open air dining, in-house dining, a heated outdoor pool with hot tub and cabanas, a firewall feature, and fitness center. Additional features include pickleball, tennis and a greenway that will connect to the main campus and one of two dog parks.

The project was made possible through partnerships with RLPS Architects, Johnson Engineering, and Stantec for design and Chris-Tel Construction for general contracting.
