BrightStar Names News Chief Development Officer
BrightStar Care announced that it has named Pete First as its new chief development officer. First joined the firm in 2018 as vice president of franchise development.
In this new role, First will be responsible for all three BrightStar Group Holdings brands: BrightStar Care, BrightStar Senior Living, and BrightStar Care Homes.
Gurnee, Illinois-based BrightStar Care is one of the largest home care providers in the United States, with more than 365 locations nationwide. The company branched into senior living and is pursuing growth via franchises.
Prior to joining BrightStar, First spent 14 years at Winmark, the company behind resale retail brands such as Plato’s Closet and Play It Again Sports.
Transforming Age Finds New VP of CCRCs
Transforming Age announced Ken Noreen is joining the company as its new vice president of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs).
Noreen most recently served as the senior vice president at Wohlsen Construction – one of the largest builders of senior living communities in the nation.
Cadence Living Hires VP of Talent Aggregation
Cadence Living announced that Doug Bandola is the new vice president of talent aggregation. Prior to entering into the senior living sector, Bandola spent time in talent acquisition at Tave Risk Management and talent placement company Katapult Network.
Most recently, Bandola served as manager of talent acquisition for Enlivant Senior Living.
Lument Announces New Managing Director
Lument announced that Leor Dimant has joined the firm as a managing director. Previously, Dimant worked as a managing director at Greystone, where he amassed eight years of experience as a loan originator for multifamily and health care products.
Windsor Run Finds Sales Manager In-House
Windsor Run, an Erickson Senior Living retirement community, announced that it has promoted Amanda Indenbaum to Sales Manager.
Indenbaum began her career at the community as the events coordinator for the sales department before moving to the position of personal moving consultant.
Arrow Senior Living Makes Slew of Promotions
Arrow Senior Living announced a number of promotions, adding to the St. Louis, Missouri-based provider’s management ranks.
- Crystal Parrish, a BSN/RN, has been promoted to managing director of wellness.
- Nicole Rozsa has been promoted to managing director of marketing.
- Gregory Dierlam has been promoted to managing director of marketing.
- John McAnich has been promoted to managing director of culinary operations.
The company also announced that Michael Mayberry, Christine Serdinak, Gregory Schindler, and Tammy Vaughn have been appointed managing directors at Arrow communities.

Bridge Senior Living announced that it has hired Julia Paima as vice president of operations. She brings more than 21 years of experience in senior living, most recently serving as a regional director of operations for Elmcroft Senior Living where she was responsible for 10 communities.

Hammond Glen Retirement Community announced two new leadership appointments. Bruce Johnson has been named executive director and Peter Cartagena has been named executive chef.

Morning Pointe Names New VP of Life Enrichment
Morning Pointe Senior Living announced that Amanda Baushke has been named vice president of life enrichment. In this role, Baushke will be tasked with leading the development of enrichment and memory care programming at all 36 Morning Pointe locations.
