Bonaventure Breaks Ground on First Community in N.C.

Bonaventure has broken ground on a new “flagship” senior living community and its first in North Carolina.

The community, Acclaim at Cary Pointe, is set to have 138 apartment homes with one- and two-bedroom units. Amenities for residents include a restaurant, salon, a gym that hosts workout classes, guest suites, a resort-style indoor pool, walking trails and a courtyard with a fire pit.

Watercrest Community in Virginia On Track for Summer Opening

Watercrest Senior Living Group and joint venture partner Harbert Seniors Housing Fund II are making progress on the construction of Watercrest Richmond, a new community in Richmond, Virginia.

Construction on the 98-unit senior living community is on track to wrap up by this summer. Trustmark Bank is financing the project, and EMJ Corporation is building it.

Sunrise Senior Living Opens Two New Communities in New Jersey, California

Sunrise Senior Living has opened new senior living communities in New Jersey and California.

The community in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey — Sunrise of Mountain Lakes — has 99 apartments and suites and includes amenities such as an art collection, entertainment and activity rooms and a walking path with a gazebo and pergola.

Sunrise’s community in Redwood City, California, dubbed Sunrise of Redwood, has 92 suites and specialized memory care programs and amenities for residents living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Now Open: Liberty Village Assisted Living Community in Illinois

A new senior living neighborhood is open in Jerseyville, Illinois.

The AL property, Hawthorn Inn, is operated by not-for-profit retirement community Liberty Village of Jerseyville.

Spellman Brady & Company collaborated on the community’s interior design with O’Toole Design.
