Trustwell announces new regional director

New York City-based Trustwell Living announced the addition of Alexa Wheeler as Regional Director of Operations.

In this role, Wheeler will work with leadership at newly acquired communities.

Wheeler has been in senior housing for more than 20 years. Most recently, she was VP of operations with Frontier Management.

Senior living designer promoted

The design firm Cunningham announced the promotion of Amy Cheevers to the position of principal and director of strategy at Live Studio. 

Cheevers, who is based in Cunningham’s Minneapolis office, is credited with spearheading the firm’s senior living practice, according to an email from Cunningham.

She now leads a team that does design work for a nationwide senior living portfolio.

Lifespace Communities adds three board members

Lifespace Communities, based in Dallas and West Des Moines, Iowa, announced the addition of David S. Williams III, Gary Blackford, and Jonathan Sokeye to its board of directors, according to a press release.

Williams is co-founder and CEO of Care 3, Blackford is chairman of Avanos Medical, and Sokeye is CFO of Carolina Complete Health.

The trio will each serve four-year teams as current members Paula Shives and Rober Kehm will see their terms expire in April.

LeadingAge Florida finds in-house COO

LeadingAge Florida announced that Dawn Jimenez has been promoted to the position of chief operating officer.

Jimenez, who most recently served as the company’s VP of operations, will continue to oversee daily operations at LeadingAge Florida while also driving efficiencies and managing member growth.

LeadingResponse names VP of sales for healthcare unit

The Tampa-based marketing company LeadingResponse announced that it’s expanding its health care sector with a new unit and that the new unit will be overseen by Valerie Whitman.

The new unit will serve existing clients that operate in senior living and in elective medical care.

Morning Pointe names executive director for Brentwood community

Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Morning Pointe Senior Living named Jeff Beaty executive director at its Morning Pointe of Brentwood property, according to a press release.

Beaty, who has been in senior care and/or senior living for just under four decades, most recently served as chief behavioral health officer at a Kentucky facility.

Sagewood finds new marketing director

Phoenix-based Sagewood, a Life Care Services community, announced Diane Schwartz is the new marketing director, according to a press release.

Sagewood was recently named the winner of the SHN Architecture and Design Awards in the Independent Living category.
