Elevate to Break Ground on Florida Household-Style Community

Work is slated to start soon for a new Elevate Senior Living project in Clearwater, Florida.

As planned, Elevate Clearwater will span six senior living “households,” each with eight independent living and 16 assisted living and memory care suites. The households are designed to share a kitchen and meeting spaces.

The Elevate model from American Healthcare Management Group is a blend of small-home concepts and compact design aimed at making senior living more affordable. Monthly assisted living rates are planned to start at $3,500.

Project partners include HKS Architects and ARCO Senior Living Multi-Family, and construction is currently expected to wrap up in 2023.

Cadence, Flournoy and Harrison Street Break Ground on California Project

Cadence Living, Flournoy Development Group and Harrison Street have started work on a new assisted living and memory care community in Orange County, California.

The 80-apartment urban infill community, Cadence Brea, is slated to include high-end amenities and a modern design. Project partners include Thoma-Holec Design, Irwin Partners Architects and Flatiron Development Group.

Cadence Brea represents the third community in the Cadence-Flournoy partnership and the eighth collaboration between Cadence and Harrison Street.

Greystar Active Adult Community in Texas Now Pre-Leasing

Greystar is now accepting early apartment home reservations for its forthcoming Album Mansfield community in Mansfield, Texas.

The community is planned to include apartment homes in one- and two-bedroom layouts, and is part of a larger development project that also includes multifamily apartments, retail and for-sale single-family homes.

If all goes according to plan, residents will begin moving in later this June.

Massachusetts Memory Care Community Set for 2022 Opening

Anthemion Senior Lifestyles is preparing to open a new assisted living and memory care community in Norwell, Massachusetts this year.

The community, dubbed The Cordwainer, is slated to have 54 suites for residents living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Amenities include dining and activity rooms, indoor and outdoor sensory gardens, wood workshop, barbershop and salon, private suite for families and performance and wellness centers.

Trammell Crow, Chelsea Working on New Jersey Community

Trammell Crow and Chelsea Senior Living are collaborating on a 93-unit senior living community under construction in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Planned amenities include a beauty salon, concierge services and a parking garage for independent living residents.

Douglas Coleman & Associates is working as the project architect, and IMC is the general contractor. The community is expected to open in late 2022.

Galerie Living Opens Flagship Development in Atlanta

Galerie Living has opened a new flagship development in Atlanta.

The community, Corso Atlanta, is the first in Galerie’s Corso brand of communities. Another is planned in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

The independent living, assisted living, and memory care community has more than a dozen dining, activity and amenity spaces, including a market, nail and beauty bar and an onsite flower boutique.

Project partners included lenders Truist and LTC REIT.

— Turnberry Associates and Belmont Village have proposed a new senior living community in Aventura, Florida.
