LifeStar Community in Florida Gains Momentum

LifeStar Living’s forthcoming “flagship” community in St. Petersburg, Florida is moving closer to the start of construction.

The membership-style community, The Manhattan St. Petersburg, is now taking reservations for its planned 111 units. Residents can choose among floor plans in one-, two-, and three-bedroom styles ranging from more than 1,000 square feet to almost 2,400 square feet.

LifeStar expects to break ground on The Manhattan St. Petersburg in 2022, with plans to welcome residents by 2024.

Hines, MorningStar to Open Houston Community

Co-developers MorningStar Senior Living and real estate firm Hines are set to hold a grand opening for MorningStar at River Oaks, an assisted living and memory care community in Houston.

The 112-unit community — MorningStar’s first in the state of Texas — includes amenities such as multiple dining venues, an art studio, theater, salon and spa, fitness center, life enrichment room, club room, sky terrace and a landscaped courtyard.

Other project partners included Munoz + Albin Planning & Architecture, Kirksey Architecture, Thoma-Holec Design, TBG Partners and D. E. Harvey Builders.

Clearwater Living Opens Assisted Living and Memory Care Community in California

Clearwater Living has opened a new assisted living and memory care community in North Tustin, California.

The 110-unit community, Clearwater at North Tustin, has studio, one- and two-bedroom options, with amenities including courtyards, a zen garden and olive tree grove, a fitness and wellness center, outdoor amphitheater, salon and spa, art room, dog park and chapel.

The opening of the North Tustin community marks Clearwater’s fifth in California and Nevada.

Solera Senior Living Opens Maryland Community

Solera Senior Living has announced the grand opening of Modena Reserve at Kensington, an independent living, assisted living and memory care community in Kensington, Maryland.

The 135-apartment community is composed of a five-story building, a below-ground parking garage and a connector building that integrates two single-story historic buildings into the campus. Amenities include an indoor/outdoor wine bar, multiple dining venues, a media room, fitness studio, therapy gym, salon and spa, art studio and a penthouse lounge. The community also has an outdoor courtyard with a water feature, fire pit, sunshade and a walking path.

The community represents the first development in a joint-venture agreement among Solera, McCaffery Interests and AEW Capital Management. Project partners include designers Antunovich Associates and Lantz-Boggio Architects, PE Services, Dewberry Engineers, Structura, Wohlsen Construction and ECS.
