LCS Breaks Ground on Senior Living Community at Purchase College in New York

LCS broke ground this week on a $320 million independent living community called Broadview Senior Living at Purchase College in Westchester County, New York.

The company also announced the project’s financing is complete.

The 220-unit community is slated to include 174 one- and two-bedroom apartments along with 46 two-bedroom townhomes with two-car garages.

Legacy Senior Living Renovating Wisconsin Community

Legacy Senior Living is upgrading a senior living community in Madison, Wisconsin.

The community, The Renaissance Senior Living of Hilldale, is currently under renovation. Plans call for 92 units for assisted living and memory care with options for studios, and one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Tri-North Builders, GBA Architecture, and Grundwaldt & Halverson were project partners on the remodel. If all goes as planned, the project will open in 2022.

Resort Lifestyle Communities Opens Florida Community

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) has opened a new senior living community in Rockledge, Florida.

The $30 million community, Shell Harbor, includes multiple dining venues and amenities such as an in-house bank, pharmacy, general store and salon.

Dominium Opens Affordable Senior Housing Community in Georgia

Dominium has opened a new senior housing community for low-income older adults in Stonecrest, Georgia.

The community, which is called Stonepointe, includes 238 units in one, two, and three-bedroom options, with additional options for 1.5 or two bathrooms. Amenities include a clubroom, a game/crafts room, a beauty salon, library, theater, fitness room and storage.

– Funding assistance from the New Hampshire Housing Authority is paving the way for a new independent living community in Rochester, New Hampshire.

A Virginia Beach, Virginia mall is set to undergo a $200 million development and renovation that will include an independent senior living community slated to be managed by Beth Sholom.

– Southampton, Massachusetts residents will vote on Dec. 7 whether to redevelop a primary school into a senior living facility managed by Southampton-based Everbrook Senior Living.
