Sunrise Names New Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Marketing Officer

Sunrise Senior Living has named Mary Kay Gribbons to the role of chief human resources officer and Maria Davlantes to chief marketing officer.

As chief human resources officer, Gribbons will support the company’s team of more than 32,000 employees across the U.S. and abroad. She most recently worked as chief human resources officer for Dean Foods, the largest dairy processor in the U.S. She also has worked for Animal Supply Co. and American Airlines.

Davlantes comes to the company with a career that spans more than 30 years, with previous roles including EVP and chief marketing officer at Heartland Dental, the largest dental support organization in the U.S.

Gribbons joined Sunrise on Sept. 20 and Davlantes is set to begin her new role on Oct. 11.

The Springs Living Names Leader for Oregon Community

The Springs Living has promoted Kayla Harris to the role of executive director at The Springs at Carman Oaks, a senior living community in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Harris comes to the role after completing the company’s executive director in training program, which prepares certain employees for the responsibilities of becoming a community’s executive director down the road.

Harris first joined The Springs Living in 2015 as a community services coordinator at The Springs at Tanasbourne, a community in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Juniper Community in N.J. Welcomes New Executive Director

Erika Gagliardi is now executive director of Juniper Village at Williamstown, an assisted living and memory care community in Williamstown, New Jersey.

As executive director, Gagliardi is responsible for the community’s quality of care as well as supporting staff and residents.

Erickson Senior Living Appoints Leaders for Florida, N.J. CCRCs

Erickson Senior Living has named Brad Andrus executive director of Devonshire at PGA National, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and Joseph Schmidt as director of continuing care at Cedar Crest, another CCRC in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.

Andrus is a former Erickson employee, and he started his career in senior living two decades ago at Charlestown, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Catonsville, Maryland. He left the company in 2011 before returning in 2018 to work as associate executive director of Greenspring in Springfield, Virginia. One year later, he made the move to Devonshire in another associate executive director role.

Schmidt comes to the new role with more than 30 years of leadership experience in health care.

Ingleside Names Memory Care Leaders

Senior living nonprofit Ingleside has announced that Marianna Blagburn is now director of memory support services and programming at its Ingleside at Rock Creek community in Washington, D.C.; and that Maureen Charlton has taken the same role at its Ingleside at King Farm community in Rockville, Maryland.

Blagburn was previously an associate director of innovative programming and marketing at a memory care community in Washington, D.C., while Charlton most recently oversaw a memory support neighborhood at an assisted living community in Virginia.

New Jersey Life Plan Community Names Director of Sales and Marketing

Laurel Circle, a life plan community in Bridgewater, New Jersey, has hired Eric Eichhorst as director of sales and marketing.

In his new role, he will manage the community’s sales team while supervising and enacting the community’s sales and marketing strategy. He also is tasked with overseeing the community’s website, social media, and public relations efforts.

Eichhorst has more than 15 years of senior living experience and previously worked as the director of sales and marketing at a senior living community in Freehold, New Jersey.

HomeCare Advocacy Network Expands Franchise Support Team

HomeCare Advocacy Network (HCAN) has named Teresa Steinfatt as vice president of business performance and Stephanie Thompson as franchise services manager.

Steinfatt comes to the role with more than 25 years of industry experience, and she will oversee franchise selection, franchise business performance, strategic analysis and business operations. Thompson has held a number of home care industry positions since 2007, and in her new role she will support franchisees with operational quality.
