Watercrest Accepting Reservations for Community Under Construction in South Carolina

Watercrest Myrtle Beach, a Watercrest Senior Living Group community in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has opened a sales office and is now accepting reservations.

The 98-unit community is planned to include amenities such as a promenade, fireplace, water wall, cigar and scotch lounge, multiple dining venues, “Southern-style” outdoor living spaces, art studio and gallery and a spa. The community is also slated to have a resort-style pool, light and salt therapy services, a physical therapy center, landscaped walking paths and live moss walls.

Watercrest Myrtle Beach is a part of a partnership among Watercrest, Corecam Capital Partners and Peninsula Alternative Real Estate.

Work Underway for Senior Living, Affordable Housing Development Near Atlanta

Construction work has begun on a new senior housing community that will include independent living and affordable housing in Clayton County, Georgia, which is just south of Atlanta.

The $76 million project is slated to include the Villas at Mt Zion, a 96-unit independent living community; and the Flats at Mt Zion, a 210-unit multifamily community for families with children who attend the Mt. Zion Elementary and Primary schools.

Project partners include Zimmerman Properties, an affordable housing builder and developer; TriStar, an investment firm that focuses on commercial real estate affordable housing; and Summit Contracting Group.

The project targets singles, families and older adults who earn within 50%, 60% and 70% of area median income. The project is expected to welcome its first residents in the summer of 2023.

October Opening Expected for $121M Ryan Cos., LCS Project in St. Louis

A $121 million senior living highrise from Ryan Companies is expected to open next month in Clayton, Missouri, which is near St. Louis.

The 281-unit senior living community is planned to have amenities such as multiple dining venues, a fitness facilities, salon and spa, theater and an art studio. The community will also offer wellness and lifelong learning programs, among other services.

Life Care Services, an LCS company, is slated to manage the community.

National Church Residences Opens Affordable Senior Housing Community in Atlanta

National Church Residences has opened a new affordable senior housing community in Atlanta.

The community, True Light Haven, has 124 units of senior housing for residents 55 years of age or older. Amenities include a fitness room, business center equipped with access to Wi-Fi, on-site laundry, lounges on each floor and a community room with a kitchenette.

McShane Construction built the community, and Foley Design was the project’s architect.
