Juniper Names Two New Wellness Leaders

Juniper Communities has appointed Theresa Bush to the role of regional director of wellness and named Dawn Anderson as director of wellness at a skilled nursing and rehab facility in Pennsylvania.

As regional director of wellness, Bush will help Juniper manage wellness programs at communities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She comes to the role with 35 years of working in nurse management positions.

In her new role, Anderson is tasked with overseeing the nursing department at Brookline Skilled Rehabilitation and Care in State College, Pennsylvania. She has 31 years of experience as a nurse and has worked in a variety of health care settings, including in hospice, home health, long-term care and hospitals.

Legacy Senior Living Names VP of Asset Management

Legacy Senior Living has promoted Blake Ray to the role of vice president of asset management.

Ray is now responsible for helping to acquire new developments, overseeing construction and renovation projects, coordinating financing and supporting the company’s executive leadership.

He first joined Legacy in 2014, and he has worked in leadership roles that include administrator in training, special projects coordinator and financial analyst.

Millennia Companies Appoints Chief Information Officer

Brad Blake has joined Millennia Companies as chief information officer.

Blake is tasked with designing and implementing information technology to meet the needs of the organization, which has market-rate and senior housing apartments among other holdings.

Blake’s more than 24 years of experience includes eight years in real estate, and he has worked with large hospitals and health care systems in the past.

Cadence Living Hires Regional Marketing VP

Cadence Living has named Shelly Stewart-Girton as vice president of marketing for communities located in its mountain region.

In her new role, she will oversee marketing and strategy for the company’s managed communities in Colorado. Stewart-Girton has more than 25 years of sales, real estate and nursing experience, and she previously worked as director of sales and marketing for Avenida Partners, MorningStar Senior Living and Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD).

Buckner Names Leaders for Two Texas Communities

Buckner Retirement Services has announced the appointment of new executive directors at two communities in Beaumont and Longview, Texas.

At Buckner’s Westminster Place CCRC in Longview, the operator named Crystal Muniz to the role of executive director, effective. Sept. 7. She comes to the role after working as healthcare administrator for the Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo, Texas, which Buckner also operates. Muniz is taking the reins from David Sim, who is now working as administrator at the Crestview Retirement Community in Bryan, Texas.

And in Beaumont, Buckner appointed David Ummel to work as executive director of Calder Woods, a role that is also effective Sept. 8. He previously worked as the Buckner church engagement officer overseeing Faith Fosters Texas. Ummel is replacing Calder Woods’ previous executive director, Shane Gabis, who left the role in June.

LifeSpire Hires Executive Director for Virginia Community

LifeSpire of Virginia has named Adam Feldbauer to the role of executive director of The Summit, a Life Plan community in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Feldbauer, who officially starts Oct. 1, is set to be responsible for managing the community’s day-to-day operations.

Before joining LifeSpire, he was president and CEO of Martha Jefferson House in Charlottesville. He has more than 10 years of experience in senior living and health care overall.

Georgia Life Plan Community Names Outreach Liaison

Brandon Wilde, a life plan community in Evans, Georgia, has named Martie Ewest to the role of community outreach liason.

In her new role, Ewest will market the community’s personal care and memory care services to prospective residents. She previously held roles at hospice, health, rehab and other senior care organizations.

Health Dimensions Group Welcomes New VP of Consulting Services

Health Dimensions Group, which is a post-acute, long-term care and senior living consulting and management firm, has hired Kim Watson to the role of vice president of consulting services.

Watson is now responsible for developing and executing strategies for sales and business development growth, sales operations and customer service. She also will have responsibilities in client-relationship management.

She previously worked as a regional director of operations for 16 skilled nursing facilities in Colorado and Missouri and as vice president of operations for seven independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing communities in Nebraska and Wyoming. Watson has 25 years of experience overall.

Apploi Adds Former Atria, Elmcroft CEO to Advisory Board

Health care recruiting, onboarding, and credential management software company Apploi has added former Atria Senior Living and Elmcroft Senior Living CEO Pat Mulloy to the company’s advisory board.

Mulloy is currently Of Counsel for Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, and he also serves as chairman of the board for senior living industry association Argentum.

Other current members on Apploi’s advisory board include Sharon Gabrielson, Jonathan Fields, Randi Zuckerberg and Mark Ghermezian.
